I think it's interesting how relatively easy it is to talk Jacobi down. we see it twice in the show, in episodes 42 and 53, both times when he's under a lot of emotional pressure. during the doppelganger event, he panics and pulls his gun, and Lovelace convinces him to give it to her. during his mutiny, he folds when Minkowski pushes back.

he immediately responds to authority, something that's also clear from his interactions with Kepler. the biggest difference is that Kepler talks him into things, whereas Lovelace and Minkowski talk him out of things.

basically our guy's moral compass is extremely screwed up and he has a metaphorical spine like a cooked noodle. I love him.
