as the final cour in tybw is about to drop, some people need to realize

just because two characters are put together in a situation like a massive final battle does not make it romantic nor does that mean they should end up together

literally not a single part of tybw rukia and renji together fighting was romantic. not even a shared romantic look while they face imminent death. likewise, please if someone could point out ONE SINGLE MOMENT of ichigo and orihime that was romantic during that as well because i read the whole thing and saw nothing of the sorts and orihime was only fantasizing how she was going to "help" ichi in the fight (spoiler she's useless)

ichigo sure talked about rukia a lot more in ss arc than ori in hm.

ichigo was always saying he has to save rukia, he wont let her die, he will put up a fight, he'd fight everyone to save her

and not saying ichigo didnt care if ori died, but that same ss energy was not nearly as present...

i know its been said so many times already, but this really is such a crazy thing even if the the soul society isnt at war

ichigo is literally not having it.

he didn't even notice her outfit, and as a friend said it was too revealing, not that ori looked nice.

and it's incredibly weird that kisuke made it for her, but also yoruichi (also a grown adult btw) saying ichigo should sleep with ori for wearing this outfit

this whole scene is a mess.

i just finished reading demon slayer and wanted to share my opinions on the end pairings bc i really enjoyed it

spoilers ahead if you aren't caught up

i won't say im not sad about who dies. i am. but im also happy about who also lived.

and as far as the end pairings i am personally happy

its so rare a shonen story gets a good pairing, and one where the main guy ends up with a girl who is actually useful. kanao was a cool character, peronally wouldve loved to see more growth behind the scenes but the story wasnt long enough to really explore and develop. just like the relationship, wish thered been some more hints but i cant complain too much. kanao was able to fight, put herself in harms way to protect those she cares about, and would risk herself to kill muzan. and although tanjiro only had one family member left he was able to start a new one with her, and i think that ties up the ending nicely. for tanjiro, i also liked how he actually showed some feelings for kanao too. like when he first saw her he actually liked her (in the manga, he forgot that she kicked him the night before right after the spider demon family) - so unlike what people say, there were mutual feelings.

and the other pairings were satisfying. although nezuko didnt really reciprocate zenitsus feelings it seemed, i at least like the idea that his crush became something stronger and they both fell in love. zenitsu would do anything for nezuko, and that totally couldve softened her up.

and lastly, aoi and inosuke. im happy inosuke found love too since he puts up such a tough exterior. but aoi is also hard headed and that pairing does make sense to me. they probably have cute rivalries but end up working it out. its cute, i like it.

so although there are ppl who didnt like the ending, im personally someone who loves romance and although i enjoyed kny as a shonen with intense battles and high stakes, having some romance with even faint development has felt much more satisfying than the ones with no romance or shit pairings. tbh idk why people hate love so much, i absolutely adore love.

When Ichigo activates his fullbringer I think is the biggest "I love you" from Ichigo to Rukia, because Chad thaught to him think of his pridest moments as a shinigami, and we all have moments from which he saves each of his friends and family, he feel proud to have power to protect but this didn't activate it, if these memories had an affect the shinigami badge would be glowing little by little.

But what made it activates instantly? Not him saving or protecting anyone but being able to see Rukia, which isn't surprising since he said before she's gone he wouldn't be happy not seeing her again, and the emphasis on him not seeing Rukia is very big, even bigger than him being powerless

Look at the difference in panels, both the size and how blank and empty the one mentioning Rukia feels.

So when he power activates he's thinking about Rukia fading away from his eyes, his powers came back from him wanting to see Rukia again! We can't forget fullbringer is a hability of love, so when Ichigo loved being a shinigami the most, was when he could see and interact with Rukia.

This scene literally comproves this! Ichigo has been depressed about losing his powers the entire arc, and when he get them again after more than a year, his first instinct isn't to celebrate they got back or to feel reliefed he can finally protect his friends again, it's to see Rukia! An entire page o Ichigo just looking at her, this is the first thing he does when his powers got back.

Now tell me isn't this the biggest confirmation of Ichigo's feelings towards her? Not only Rukia departure being sad to him as his mother death, but Rukia is important if not even more than his powers and being able to protect others, she's THAT important to him.

ichigo/orihime also don't make sense in the end if you consider ori is most valuable to ichigo as a healer. however in this "ending" we got ichigo basically retired from his duties as a soul reaper. so what is the point of having an ultra healer at his side? none

only healing ichigo needs is therapy from seeing the love of his life get married off to the man who was excited to watch her die but hey i didn't write this ending....

rukia going to hm to save orihime - only thinks about saving orihime, almost dies doing so

two people that put others first no matter the consequence, yet ppl tryna say this wouldnt be the best and healthiest relationship smh

i've fallen into anime shipping hell

from the 4 shows i've watched:

hated most characters, the main couple was so boring, and they killed off one of the only good characters. very first anime i watched. 0/10

i liked a weird ship. main character died. last season sucked. 0/10

bleach. only one real ship and that only lives in my heart. 0/10 major heartbreak. insane fumble in the epilogue.

i mean main couple was cute first season but now im in season 4 i think and he hasn't even thought of his girlfriend once. 5/10 was cute season 1 but should've been a slower burn.
