The only way I see this as potentially a helpful thing, is for people who medically can’t tolerate a mask—breathing problems or mental health issues—but who are shamed into wearing one anyway by people who don’t care.

As someone who does genuinely struggle to breath in a mask sometimes, depending on how bad my lungs are playing up: STAY HOME. if your lungs are too shit to wear a mask, your lungs are too shit for you to survive COVID.

And mental health issues do not excuse putting others at risk.
