I can tell youโre new to tumblr, that is a post someone reblogged from me and added those tags to. That person is not me and I do not endorse those types of comments. I have blocked anyone who has expressed such a sentiment on my posts since her passing.
thats me, and something i said in 2023 in a sense of hopelessness about a public figures cruelty being allowed to happen without repurcussion. i dont even know owl-vid outside of tumblr (tbh i dont even know them on here because theyre fairly anonymous) and dont represent them in any way.
If I made myself publicly known for "saving" stray dogs and said I only fed dogs with chocolate bars, you'd have every right to call me an animal abuser because it's blatantly obvious if you know anything about dogs that it's not good for them.
If I made a corporation dedicated to saving stray dogs but I also refused basic vaccinations and let children in with freshly brought in dogs who were obviously aggressive, people would be very upset with me, very reasonably!
Why is this somehow different for wildlife that is being kept illegally?
because people donโt usually know much about proper care for wildlife. So they just assume because the foxes donโt look obviously hurt or sick that theyโre healthy. Itโs also why they donโt care or notice how many of the foxes are overweight.

You might even think of a powerful police agency, such as the New York Police Department. But unless you or someone you love has been targeted for deportation, you probably donโt immediately think of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
This report argues that you should. Our two-year investigation, including hundreds of Freedom of Information Act requests and a comprehensive review of ICEโs contracting and procurement records, reveals that ICE now operates as a domestic surveillance agency. Since its founding in 2003, ICE has not only been building its own capacity to use surveillance to carry out deportations but has also played a key role in the federal governmentโs larger push to amass as much information as possible about all of our lives. By reaching into the digital records of state and local governments and buying databases with billions of data points from private companies, ICE has created a surveillance infrastructure that enables it to pull detailed dossiers on nearly anyone, seemingly at any time. In fact, ICE has used face recognition technology to search through the driverโs license photographs of around 1 in 3 (32%) of all adults in the U.S. The agency has access to the driverโs license data of 3 in 4 (74%) adults and tracks the movements of cars in cities home to nearly 3 in 4 (70%) adults.
