Cars of the future shall have sensors in their front & rear bumpers. They shall detect when they have cut off others. Like Bikes or other vehicles. 2 detections a day..... Your car pulls over for an hour time out. So many a week..maybe a days penalty.

Unofficial Map: Chicago âElâ in the Style of Frank Lloyd Wright by Maxwell Roberts
Words cannot express just how much I love this beautiful, beautiful map by Maxwell Roberts, whose work Iâve featured on the blog many times previously. I had the privilege of seeing this map âin the fleshâ at the New York Transit Museum event I attended earlier this month, and it looks even more impressive as an actual print.
The map is inspired by the work of the famous architect and designer, Frank Lloyd Wright â most obviously by his stained glass work â and itâs a wonderful homage to his style, especially regarding the typographical and colour choices. And it actually works really nicely as a map as well! I note with pleasure that repeated station names â Cicero, Pulaski, Harlem, etc. â are placed properly relative to the cityâs grid, which is a very nice touch indeed. The Loop inset is nicely handled, although you could perhaps argue that the station name labels for the Loop stations on the main map are therefore redundant and could perhaps be omitted for clarity.
Personally, I find some of Maxâs transit maps to be very technical explorations of design and usability theory â fascinating, well-drawn and very worthy, but sometimes a little dry in character. This however, is art, and I think itâs simply gorgeous. 5 stars!
Prints of this map â and many others â are available on Maxâs website from £30 for UK orders, and £36 (about $55) for international orders. Consider this added to the 2015 gift guide!Â

So hereâs my thought:
Every clothing store should have at least one mannequin in a wheelchair.
Hereâs my reasoning:
Representation is important!
Clothes look different when you sit down? Especially on women? So people in wheelchairs and/or people who sit at desks all day and/or people who are going to a formal event where theyâll be sitting will have a better idea of what the clothes are going to look like.
In the event of a medical emergency, youâll have a wheelchair on site.
Brett wanders in to look at the prize. No touching the prize. Bad luck they say.
The main hall at Olympia Fields is like the rest of the clubhouse. Big, old and wonderful.
Day one of Practice on South Course. Thankfully teed off at 7:30am. It was a tad hot by the end. Beautiful track, fast greens, deep rough.
Get to see Jeff out east on April fools day. No joke.
Last time-first time
Watched the last game of curling as a member at highland today. Watching your team play in a club c semi is not fun or therapeutic. A helpless feeling. But the pain in the ankle went away. Then watching my team give up a steal of three in last end to lose by one. The pain just kinda moved around. Look forward to first at ilderton. Wait till October.

The Death of Disco
Most disco centres survived and still have life. But as other things. Abandoned. Creepy.
Normally we donât get involved with private affairs, but the continued outpouring of grief, praise, remembrance, and love for Robin Williams weâve seen on Tumblr has been staggering. He gave his gifts selflessly, and was a beacon of sorts to those of us who had a weird time figuring out how our energies and talents fit into the world.
Remember, if youâre struggling, thereâs help. We love ya, Tumblr.
And goodbye, Robin. We love you, too.Â
Nice.
Painting pictures without so many words
Peter Drury, John Helm, Dave Woods, John Roder, Martin Fisher, Gary Bloom, Kevin Keatings and Dan OâHagan. These gentlemen were the voices for 2014 World Cup coverage. Golf, baseball, football, hockey and poker commentators... Watch a World Cup game. Words, lots of silence. No stories about days gone by. Simple stuff. Just let us watch the game. Frame it, we can see the masterpiece, quit talking so much.
Believe the hype or not.
Regardless of what hype says... I don't have to like St. Vincent just because.
