HE/HER AUTISTIC BOYDYKE WHO SHOULD REALLY NOT BE ALLOWED OUTSIDE. geek loser who loves the strange & unusual; i am obsessed with both the flesh & the holy & i find love in it all.
i interact with: dc comics, dndads, star trek, slenderverse, & other miscellaneous nonsense. it truly depends on what i’m particularly hyperfixating on that day.
i stay looking for moots & my ask box is always open. please interact with me! i like it when sometimes my voice is heard through tumblr deep space.
do not bring unnecessary drama onto my dash, go outside. i don’t have a dni list except “basic dni criteria”, but i block openly and freely— don’t be a fucking creep.
i am horrible at tagging. i occasionally use #bowie babbles to tag my particularly long rambles, but not always because i forget. i have four sideblogs— if you’re there from any of those, hello! ignore the disaster that is this blog and pay attention to my well-organized ones.
The stars are resting on our shoulders...
Welcome to The Atlas Archival Restoration Project!
The Atlas Archival Restoration Project was founded for and dedicated to the purpose of gathering and preserving information related to the strange and unusual. It seeks to create a well-organized and accessible pool of evidence that can hopefully be used to understand and protect against potentially dangerous supernatural phenomena.
Atlas understands that previous bodies within the field of supernatural archiving have left a bad taste in the mouths of the people it wishes to serve; many feel that their trust has been broken by former institutions, such as that founded by one Jonah Magnus. It is very important to The Atlas that this trust is restored, and perhaps even bolstered, for the sake of building a better and safer future.
Below, you will find information on our helpful administrators, as well as a guideline for submitting YOUR stories!

The Atlas is managed by two lovely administrators who have volunteered their time and effort to help you! To ensure utmost privacy and diligence for those of you who choose to submit your stories, these administrators have absolutely no contact with or information about one another. They are entirely dedicated to assisting YOU!

this blog is one of three associated with The Atlas Archival Restoration Project! this AU takes place after MAG 200 and assumes that Martin and Jon survived, but were separated following the events of the last episode. they have no way to contact each other and no safe way to reach out publicly, but they both discover that they have access to a blog-format archive: The Atlas Archival Restoration Project. all they know about this blog is that they are one of two users behind it, they cannot contact their fellow archivist or see their statement reviews, and that The Atlas is just as hungry as The Magnus Institute. Matin and Jon's personal blogs will be tagged below.
general RP boundaries!
☁︎ Both writers behind The Atlas are over 18. Interactions (such as asks and replies) from minors are acceptable, but DMs and committed rp are only welcome from other adults.
👁 Interactions from other canon characters will probably be selective. We'll probably only dedicate one writer to each character, with obvious exceptions like Not-Someones. Feel free to reach out if you're interested in writing with us!!!
☁︎ This blog will not feature any sexual content; in-character advances such as flirting from other characters for plot purposes is fine, but any explicitly sexual or heavily suggestive interactions will result in a block. On a similar note…
👁 We block freely. We are usually happy to establish boundaries privately rather than blocking out of the blue, but our wellbeing is a priority over engagement.
beyond all of that, feel free to interact!! please do, in fact!! any questions about the blogs, the lore of this AU, or inquiries about collaborative writing are super welcome and we are more than happy to get back with you.
information about your writers!
☁︎ The Assistant is the writer behind this AU's Martin Blackwood. He is an adult and uses He/It pronouns, among a number of neopronouns, of course. Feel free to ask.
👁 The Archivist is the beautiful mind behind this AU's Jonathan Sims, and was a great deal of help when it came to working up this concept. He is an adult and uses He/Him pronouns. His individual boundaries are listed on the pinned post on Jon's account.
other associated blogs:
Martin Blackwood: @cyriocosmus-elegans
Jonathan Sims: @archivists-requiem
both blogs will be linked on every post, as this is a group blog!

taking the threshold of adulthood as 18, you are likely to spend at least 52 years as a fully grown adult
at the age of 30 you have lived less than one quarter of your adult life (12/52 years)
'middle age' is typically considered to be between 45-65
it is extremely common to switch careers, start new relationships, emigrate, go to college for the first or second time, or make other life-changing decisions in middle age
it's wild that I even have to spell it out, but older adults (60+) still have social lives and hobbies and interests.
you can still date when you get old. you can still fuck. you can still learn new skills, be fashionable, be competitive. you can still gossip, you can still travel, you can still read. you can still transition. you can still come out.
young doesn't mean peaked. you're inexperienced in your 20s! you're still learning and practicing! you're developing social skills and muscle memory that will last decades!
there are a million things to do in the world, and they don't vanish overnight because an imaginary number gets too big
The thing about growing up with undiagnosed autism is that you’re a bad kid. And you don’t know how to stop being a bad kid. But you’re pedantic, you hate hugs, you’d rather be alone than attend a family gathering, you play by yourself instead of with friends or family, you make mealtime impossible, you can’t even look your parents in the face, you lie to get out of going to school and when you’re there you complete your assignments correctly but in a way that is somehow inherently wrong. You’re wrong. There is something wrong with you and you can’t identify it or fix it. You can’t begin to explain it. You pull for justifications and apologies. You were a bad kid and there was nothing you could do to be better.
Ok but like Superman having good rep for punk people that, while brief, shows the ideals of punk culture being rooted in standing up for people being persecuted and fighting against the authorities that attack them was not something I was expecting but I’m genuinely so happy about it. Punk people and ideals have been treated like a joke by a lot of mainstream media, but to have a highly successful movie accurately capture it means so much to me. Especially coming from Lois Lane.
hi guys i just saw superman and i have a lot of thoughts about it but im so happy and excited about it that i cannot gather any of them so please give me time.
in the mean time know that
- i am so glad that we’re letting superheroes be political again
- i saw a rainbow on the way home from the movie and cried
