Iâm whEEZINF OH MY GOD TONYS FACE. âRhodey.â
âWhat?â
âWhat time is it?â
âWhat? What do you meanâwhy?â
âListen, Cap and I have our differences but I have enough respect for him to put that aside and mark down his exact time of death.â
âOh my god.â
âAll Iâm saying is Hydraâs been trying since the forties but Captain America was murdered in cold blood right here right now by a high schooler.â
âTonyââ
âThe ice couldnât even do it but thatâs because no amount of arctic ice in the world could measure up to the iconic freezer burn my kid just gave him.â
That whole thing deserved to be in the movie.

// Every single time I see this video (which is a lot because itâs fantastic) All I can think is: This is the shit Todd gets up to when theyâre in SHIELD and theyâre undercover at a western bar. THEYâRE SUPPOSED TO BE INGOGNITO, BY THE WAY. GOD, TODD.
Happy belated Fatherâs Day! A fear submitted by Dinas to Deep Dark Fears - thanks!
My new book âThe Creepsâ is available now from your local bookstore, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Book Depository, iBooks, IndieBound, and wherever books are sold. You can find more information here.
can i just take a minute to appreciate the writers of spiderman: homecoming for not resorting to any lazy comedic tactics when writing Ned Leedsâ character ?? like (correct me if iâm wrong) but at no point in the movie do they feel the need to comment on Nedâs a) ethnicity or b) body type to make a joke. Ned is a well rounded character who provides both comedic elements and a close relationship to Peter Parker, and this is purely down to his personality. more scriptwriters need to take notes from this
Puny Prisoner
snikterdoodle:
X23 sniffled and fought back the tears, but did note that when she had been about to cry, it had changed Spidermanâs demeanor significantly. She didnât understand it. Up until now, no one cared how she felt. It was almost startling just to see someone react to her like she was a person, like her feelings mattered.
âThey know Iâm a thing that was made. I donât get to be a kid.â
With her heightened senses, she could hear his murmuring, but knew by the tone that she wasnât supposed to, and made a point of not reacting. It was much easier to learn things â and to avoid having headphones put back on â if she kept the extent of her powers to herself.Â
Calling Tony Stark...
âKid, arenât you supposed to be guarding?â
âMr. Stark!â Oh, right, whispering. âAh, yeah, y-yeah, I am. Iâm here now, I just... Mr. Stark, something doesnât feel right here...? This prisoner is... sheâs a little girl. Th-theyâve got all these things hooked up to her and- she started crying, I donât know, I think I just... I need to know more.âÂ
âNo you donât, Pete.â Even thought the earpiece, Stark sounded stern. Peter rested his head on the vibrating metal of the truck, listening. âYou just have to do your job and make sure no one gets hurt, thatâs all. You can handle this, right? Tell me you can handle this because I do not have the time to head down there right now.â Something shattered in the background. Stark sighed.Â
âIâve got it, I do!â Peter was quick to reassure him, voice still a hushed whisper. âI can handle it, really, nothingâs gonna happen. But it doesnât... feel right, you know? Like, why have they got her locked up in the first place? I mean, I get sheâs got the whole Wolverine thing going on, but... isnât the whole deal to help people HYDRAâs messed with?âÂ
âHow did you even find out about- okay, you know what, just stop thinking about it.â Stark was starting to sound irritated now. Irritated and... uncertain. âLook, if youâre that worried, Iâll look into it with the heads over there. But Iâm sure sheâs fine for one little car ride, got it?âÂ
â...got it.âÂ
âGood. Get your head in the game, Spiderman. I need to know I can count on you for these things.â
âA-Absolutely, Mr. Stark! Iâve got it in hand, really, I do! I-â
The line cut. Karen said something about Tonyâs suit deactivating the call to handle something. So thatâs why he wasnât here, he was doing Iron Man things... and had palmed off the less exciting job to Peter. Suddenly, the teen was wishing heâd stayed on the line to quiz him about that.Â
A sigh. He wandered back down to the little wooden bench and sat down, rubbing at the back of his neck.
âSorry, I, uh... had to check some stuff. Where were we?â
Puny Prisoner
 snikterdoodle:
âThey donât want me as an ally,â X23 snapped. âThey want me as a weapon â and a science project.â
She huffed condescendingly, like Spiderman was the most naive person sheâd ever met â and given the limited number of people sheâd met, he almost certainly was.
âIt doesnât matter if Iâm âon their sideâ. I donât have a choice!â Her voice was full of sadness, and her eyes were brimming with tears.Â
âIâll cooperate, or theyâll make me. Thatâs how it works.â
Okay, damn. He wasnât really digging the patronizing tone from... how old was she? Like, ten? Young, anyway. But, then...
Wait.
âH... hey,â he said softly. Was she crying? Oh shit, she was crying. Heâd made her cry. âCome on, come on, donât cry, uh... listen, maybe HYDRA worked that way. But this isnât HYDRA. Youâre just a kid, they know that.âÂ
Did they, though?
Really, nothing was adding up. Peterâs frown was deep under his mask as he leaned forward, elbows on his knees. All these restraints. The headphones, the sack on her head, the entire thing didnât seem... necessary. Like, here she was, just holding a conversation with him. Heâd been suspicious in the beginning, yes. He was naive, not stupid. She could easily be manipulating him. He needed to know more. He needed to know why she was here and what they were going to do with her.Â
Peter stood and moved to the back of the truck, not even wavering in his balance with the tos-and-fros of the moving vehicle. He looked through all the things at the back for a file, an info sheet, a schedule, anything that might give him some pointers here. Nothing!Â
Well. Last resort.
âKaren?â he murmured, turning to face the corner to keep himself from being overheard.Â
Yes, Peter? The robotic voice sounded right in his ears.
âCall Mr. Stark.âÂ
Puny Prisoner
snikterdoodle:
Not only had she never tried a Nerf gun, sheâd never heard of one, and didnât know what to say.
The first chip throw, she was willing to play along with as a âgameâ that could âbe a blastâ (whatever that meant â she made a mental note to study slang more), but with the second, she was starting to feel like she was just having food thrown at her. Maybe Spiderman meant well, or maybe he was just trying to humiliate her. Either way, the increasingly distant look on her face made it evident that she wasnât enjoying herself.
She looked at his arms with curiosity for a moment, but didnât stare lest it start to look like she was plotting. She could scheme all she wanted, but it wouldnât get her out of the restraints, and might get her a sack back over her head.
âMe,â she answered, surprised that he didnât understand. âWeapon X-23.â Her tone was mostly matter-of-fact, but she couldnât keep bitterness out of it entirely. A weapon may have been what she was intended to be, but she resented it. âThatâs why SHIELD wants me. So HYDRA canât use me â and so they can.â
â...oh.â
Oh.
Here he was thinking X-23 was just the codename S.H.I.E.L.D had for her. Heâd heard of that kind of thing before, where giving codenames to prisoners was some kind of psychological way to make keeping them locked up easier or something. He didnât realize that was her actual name.
And that second part. That didnât make a lot of sense.
âWait, hold on, back up.â Peter sat back down on the bench, the chip packet crinkling in his hands. He tugged his mask back down absently, with no intention of chip-eating right now. He needed to concentrate. âI... think you might have it wrong. If S.H.I.E.L.D wanted you as an ally, you wouldnât be in here.â A vague gesture at the truck around them made his point.Â
âFact is, they reckon youâre too dangerous or something. They donât seem the type to risk it. âSides, if they really wanted you on their side, theyâd be sucking up to you and everything.â

Todd looks at the masked super hero in awe when he says that he came back because he didnât think Todd was that bad. He tries not to be! He really does. Does this mean the spider person knows this now? Knows that he tries to be good? The small boy hopes so. It would be nice if one person thought he was good. âI-itâs okay. Everyone thinks Iâm bad when they meet me. Even when I try to be good,â the boy says quietly. At the question about where he hurts, Todd looks away. âEverywhere. Itâs okay. I was bad. Bad boys get pun-ished,â Todd answers, saying the last word slowly. Todd looks down at his bare toes. What if his answer is not good? He needs to give an answer. A good answer. Before he upsets the man. âMy back hurts a lot though. So does my arms,â he adds. âYa can look if ya want. Iâll be good.â Todd will be. He will be very good. The spiderman, who didnât sound much like an adult to him, came back to say he was sorry. So Todd should show him if that is what he wants. Todd slowly tries pulling off his shirt, wincing at the pain and whimpering.
His mind was whirling. The boy could barely comprehend what was going on here. Peter stared at this little boy, this young child, in so much pain... who was acting as though his pain was completely normal. As though not being able to move without wincing was casual. And there was no-one Peter could take him to. No waiting Motherâs arms, no father out searching to bring him home, no aunts or uncles or friends waiting eagerly somewhere to see if he was okay. Thatâs what Peter was used to. Returning children to their families. But there was nothing like that here. Just little Todd, alone in his bedroom, hurt and afraid.Â
âI-I got it, I got it, hold still.â The kid trying to wriggle his shirt up himself was clearly hurting him. Peter shuffled over to be behind the boy, fingers hooking under the fabric of his shirt and carefully, trying to touch his actual skin as little as possible. A lump of uncertainty was squat in his throat. What should he do? He should get him to a hospital.Â
Peter physically flinched at what he found.Â
@fireworkvampleeâ cont from here
Jubilee had hardly managed to pull Peter to the side. Funny: when Logan, or Remy, or Laura, or anyone else told her to stay behind for her own saftey, she refused rather passionately. When her friend was hurt? That was out the window.
Call her a hypocrite, and in the moment she thought she might be one, but all she cared about was keeping him safe.
âHereâŚâ Jubilee ran over, stumbling on her own feet from nerves. âYou okay? TheyâŚthey didnât get you, did they?â
âM-Mm,â was all he managed to get out before Peter snatched the bucket just in time. His throat and nose burned with the acidic result of a stomach that hadnât had a full meal in quite a while. His arm went around the rim of the bucket, the sour stench only making him gag harder. His already throbbing head screamed in protest. Wasnât it his spinning head that had done this in the first place?Â
Eventually, his body seemed content that heâd rejected enough. Peter breathed heavily over the bucket, waiting for his vision to stop spinning. Finally, he sat up, resting back on one hand while the other wiped at his burning mouth.Â
âEugh... s-sorry. Gross.â his lip curled in disgust at the contents of the bucket, reaching to put it behind him, to be dealt with when he felt like he could stand without falling over again. Of everyone here, at least he could recover from such a concussion the fastest. âI just need... a sec. I donât think they... did they?âÂ
A moment of panic. A tight chest. Peter patted himself down, searching for any open wounds that might be the death of him, healing factor or no. Thank god, he was clean. Just a bit knocked around.
âPhew... weâre okay. We are okay, right? H-Howâs everyone else?â
List Of Alternate Universes
Alternate Universe (also known as alternate reality), is commonly abbreviated as AU and it is a descriptor used to characterize fanworks which change one or more elements of the source workâs canon. The term most often refers to fanfiction, but fanart can also depicted the characters in AUs.
Unlike regular fanfiction, which generally remains within the boundaries of the canon set out by the author, alternate universe fiction writers like to explore the possibilities of pivotal changes made to charactersâ history, motivations, or environment.
Alien Invasion AU â In which the story deals with an alien invasion when canonically it does not ever happened.
All Human AU â In which characters who are canonically non-human are now humans, with corresponding changes to their backstories.
Alpha/Beta/Omega AU â Often referred to as A/B/O or even Omegaverse. It is a growing trope of AUs originated in kinkmemes in which characters can be Alphas (dominant males or females), Betas (ordinary working class), or Omegas (submissive males or females).
Ancient Egypt AU â It is also known as Pharaoh AU and in this AU the canon story is replace with the setting of Ancient Egypt. The characters are mostly still themselves, but they are either a part of the royal family, servants to the royal family, normal citizens or all of above.

In other cases it becomes something similar to Absolute Boyfriend (also known as Zettai Kareshi) where they are mail order androids that can be order online or from a cataloged. If not, they may have originally been human but turn into an android for whatever reason.

Arranged Marriage AU â Similar to the Marriage Law AU, only the difference is that not all the characters are required to be married. It is mostly focused on only one pairing and it is usually a pairing that wouldnât normally get together such as crack ships or doomed ships. In some stories it is a plausible idea, but in others it is not.
Atlantis AU â Is not to be confused with Undersea AU. In this AU the characters from a fandom are placed into the setting of Atlantis: The Lost Empire.
Avatar AU â Is also known as Bending AU (not to be confused with Na'vi AU) is an AU that puts the characters into the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender and/or The Legend of Korra. This AU gained popularity due to the concept of the characters being able to manipulate one of the four elements.
Baby AU â When the entire cast or most of them are reverted into children or babies. Usually one of the characters is still an adult that takes care of them until they figure out how to change them back into adults again.
Bakery AU â When most of the cast of a story works at a bakery while the rest are customers.
BDSM AU â Is when the entire cast is either a dominant or a submissive and BDSM relationships are considered the norm. Be advised that while a healthy BDSM relationship is consensual and not dangerous, if handled incorrectly it can result in abusive behavior which is offensive and considered bad BDSM etiquette.

Sometimes this also removes the victimâs ability to ever love again. Another way to be cured of it is for the object of the victimâs love returns their affections, thus making the love no longer unrequited.
Harem AU â Or Reverse Harem AU is when a story that doesnât contain any polygamous or love triangle relationships turns into one. Hooker AU â Where one or more of the characters is a sex worker. The more common is the Pretty Woman-type fantasy of a hooker with a heart of gold, rescued from life on the streets by a client. Sex work of all kinds is portrayed: brothels, escorts, street prostitution, âcall-girlsâ as well as strippers and go-go boys. Soulmates AU â Is when two (or more) characters are fated to be together, sometimes through multiple lives and/or into the afterlife. Sometimes but not always, the pairing might have a characteristic that helps them to find each other, such as identical or complementary birthmarks, tattoos, scars, or a string-of-fate thatâs tied to their other half which becomes thicker and shorter the closer they get to them. Some stories only need a character to hear (or just see) their soulmate to know who they are.

Zombie Apocalypse AU â Also know as Zombie AU. In which stories that donât contain an zombie apocalypse have it happen to them.
Note: This isnât a complete list of AUs, but I will keep updating it whenever I come across something new (or someone lets me know what Iâm missing). Also, keep in mind that sometimes an AU story is combine with others elements. For example, instead of the very common AU story about the characters attending a regular high school in modern times, it can be a magical school or a superhero school (similar to the film Sky High or the X-Men comics). It might even take place in a futuristic world or historical time. Sometimes AUs stories may focus on an OC (Original Character), Self-insert or Reader-insert and not just canon characters of a fandom.
