The past 15 years have seen some large scale and truly horrifying security breaches; some are so devastating that it bankrupted the victim company. A security or data breach is the intentional or unintentional release of secure or private/confidential information to an untrusted environment. According to Forbes, Data breaches exposed 4.1 billion records in the first six months of 2019.
