The thing about Shampoo's character is that in theory, she would be the perfect fiancee for Ranma: good cook, arguably the strongest female fighter (not counting girl Ranma), even having similar Chinese-clothing aesthetic to him. But problem for her is one, Ranma already has feelings for Akane and two, her morals don't match with Ranma's. Turning into a cat is the least of her obstacles.
