hi there! i just wanted to know what your best advice would be for someone just picking up an interest in drawing with copics markers? like tips and things to use? id really love to get into it i just wanna go about it the right way

When starting a copic collection it is important to choose colors which will complement the style of art you use and the subject matter you draw most, for instance, the first copic markers I got were in the skin tones set, which included E00, E11, E13, E15, E18, and R20. I got this set because I knew I wanted to draw a lot of people. Another thing you should consider is that you get colors that are in the same blending family, these markers are made to blend well together, and will generally match in saturation but vary in darkness. E11, E13, E15, and E15 are in the same blending family and blend seamlessly. That being said the most interesting color combinations come from colors which conflict. Most importantly BUY ONLINE, the retail price for a copic marker in art stores can be close to 8 dollars per marker. In most online stores they are closer to 5 dollars.
