Hello everyone! I know that I am a “beauty guru” here on tumblr but I have been so caught up with school work lately. And I have found a passion in Journalism and Media Studies so that is what I have been focusing on and working on lately. Day One

Got my hair on done on November 27th. Did my crotchet faux locs the cornrow method. The stylist that did my hair is very skilled although the process killed me. The cornrowing of my hair hurt although I knew it had to be tight to last me. So I dealt with it and my stylist put oil in between the braids that soothed me instantly. What really started to hurt was the actual croteching. I felt it each time she went in my scalp to fasten in a faux loc. Sent a pain down my spine. Not the best feeling. This intensified when she added the free tresses into the hair. It was more to pull on therefore I felt that pain in my spine even more. I start to wonder how this will last me. Wish I wasn’t so tender headed. Once it was over I felt my heart in my scalp but the initial pain was gone. Now it was about getting used to the weight. It has a weird smell but I think it should be worth it all in the end because its a protective style and it’ll help my hair grow. I’ll be fine. Right? 😅
