Luke Henery is like a cyclone when he picks up his bass. So I think it’s awesome I got to photograph him as a cyclone struck the Bundaberg coastline. He wanted to save the turtles.

I did this ink drawing and gave it to Joe when I was drunk. I remembered I wanted to use it for the next Chinese Burns record, so had to take a photo of when I was at his beach shack one day. It's a picture of my brain spewing thoughts. I made it square in PS. Idiot art.

Today seemed like a long day. I haven't had a long day in forever. Paperbark Skull Boy and Skull Girl to celebrate a long Monday. I wish Saturday felt long.

The folder I put these photos in is called "reborn". No idea why I called it reborn. Violent Soho never went away or died or anything. Maybe I called it that cause I have photod them so many times. I needed to call it something and it seemed right.

I haven't done band photos in ages and Soho asked if I would do some for them for a new release (new release=reborn?), I said "of course" even though I have quit doing band photos.

I would always do photos for them. About five years ago I spent a week driving around in a van with these four people and they taught me what life is about.

This photo is getting used a fair bit but cropped differently. Looks like they are sitting under a cross with this crop.

They are the best people.

I should blog the mangina photo one day, it's the story that needs to be told.

Maybe I'm feeling reborn and that's why I called the folder that.

New series I'm working on. Adventures of Skull Girl in Bundaberg. I love the Bundaberg landscape. It has this swamp/goth vibe I have never come across before. Mangroves, canefields and bats. I love it so.
