i fought the urgee fuuuck im okay
i hateeee when ppl say "no one is saying [blank]" its so dismissive. because most of the tjme its just not true. its alright if you havent seen it. but dude, whatever it is, someone is saying it
i think one thing i want ppl to understand about avpd is, you truly dont have to do anything to freak me out. if you are there, im scared. like, there are a lot of things i dont feel comfortable doing bcs i live with other ppl. sometimes i put off going out into the kitchen bcs someone will probably be there. they dont have to do or say anything. but just me being percieved. and the possibility of what could happen. and even if its something as "small" as a comment about me getting food, it can tear me down bcs my brain associates all these meanings to it. and then my brain says, you have to avoid this happening again. avoid going into the kitchen. avoid leaving your room
AvPD + Autism culture is… Hunter X Hunter is currently my special interest. All day I’m either reading the manga, watching either of both anime adaptations or watching analysis videos of it. But whenever any of my family member sees me watching the show or reading the manga I feel so embarrassed. Engaging with it is how I feel better but I also get so much anxiety because I hate being perceived. I literally hide my Hunter x Hunter volumes because I am so embarrassed.

AvPD culture is wishing there was a way to put ten billion disclaimers in front of you before saying something

~
avpd culture is sensing there’s something deeply wrong with you, something that people can’t see and you’re afraid someone might notice and you’re outed for who you’re truly are
~
OH GOD OF FUCK I WANT PPL TO LEARN ABOUT AVPD
..... but i guess i'll let someone else teach about it
AvPD is no matter where I am and who I am with, I’ll always feel a deep sense of rejection steeping through ever interaction I have with the world.
~
AvPD culture is triple checking if you do want to post online because "internet never forgets" and that means you can be perceived at any moment
~
excuse me sir your tism is showing
tbh taylor swift is one of my special interests but im afraid of being mauled to death if i talk abt it
ughh i dont even want to try to associate with ppl who dont believe trans men and transmascs should have a word for their oppression

Remember that even good changes can make us feel depressed, because, as creatures of habit, we're resistant to change. That doesn't mean that it wasn't the right choice.
