No tw tho, it's not a sensitive or harmful stuff, just a point that I bet a lot of people would disagree.
As a manga reader with a low budget, I mainly read manga on mangaplus because it's free, and I don't want to pirate. Recently, mangaplus just made a survey, including a question about piracy. The thing is, A LOT of people on twitter (no, I'm not calling it X—) talk about them pirating manga PROUDLY. Some of them give reasons like "because I like pirating so I do it". WTH wrong with the world these days?? I'm not talking about someone who have no access to official sites in their country, or someone who can't pay to read manga for whatever reason (well, mangaplus is free, but there are still people who CHOOSE not to use it). No, actually, despite all the reasons that make you use illegal sites. At the very least, try to have some shame because why would you be proud of your selfishness?
You know the manga authors don't live by eating co2, so you should support them, IF YOU CAN, or at least don't be so proud when you are supporting someone who steal other's works. Or if you don't like the autor or the story, so you don't want to support...just don't read it at all instead of pirating.
The people who are proud of pirating that upset me the most are people who make art. I thought they would understand the feeling of work getting stolen the most, but idk

I can't stop you from pirating manga, but at least be aware that it's wrong and have some shame. It's not something to be proud of at all.

And I'm talking about manga only, but you can apply this to manhwa or webtoon. Israel’s genocidal assault has killed or injured over 2 percent of Palestinian children in Gaza over the course of just six months, Save the Children has reported.
In the months since October 7, Israel’s assault has killed over 13,800 children in Gaza and injured over 12,000 children, according to counts by UN officials and the Gaza Ministry of Health cited by Save the Children. This means that Israel has killed or injured at least 25,800 children in Gaza, or over 1 in every 50 children living in the region before the assault.
Previous reports have found that Israel is killing and injuring children at a rate that is unprecedented compared to any modern conflict. On average, Israel has killed about 75 children in Gaza each day over the course of the last six months, while many of the children who have survived have sustained lifelong injuries; an average of over 10 children are having one or both legs amputated every day in Gaza. Doctors in the region say that Israeli snipers have also been targeting children.
