I was deeply sad to see Mary disappear, not just because she was a tremendous content creator, but because she was a smart, interesting, funny weirdo who made me feel more comfortable to fully embrace this side of me and really go for it.
When she vanished, I was not at all surprised. I could guess why. Spend enough time in kink/fetish online communities and you witness how the most prominent figures get harassed and abused. What she says here is absolutely right - certain kinks and fetishes bring a lot of shame with them, especially when intrinsically demonized by society, but it's up to each of us to not allow those shame spikes to prompt us to treat other people like shit. Shame is vulnerability hating itself. Vulnerability is worth loving, and breathing into, and allows us to open to each other in such liberating ways.
Don't let it make you a cunt.
Mary is an icon, an inspiration, and a total hero in this community, but also a human. We all are. Remember that. Acknowledging someone's humanity won't ruin your horny, and if it does, that's an issue you should look into.
At the end of the day, if someone brings your joy and pleasure, you should treat them with gratitude and respect.
