Am Sonntag abgefüllt und heute probiert: Das überraschend gute Freestyle Doppelbock. Es ist unser erster Brauversuch und das Bier ist ziemlich lecker! Wegen dem relativ hohen Alkoholgehalt (geschätzt: um die 7,5% herum), hingen wir nach zwei Gläschen etwas in den Seilen, dass hing aber vielleicht auch an der Mittwochsmüdigkeit.

Heute im Ofen: Dog snacks!

We bottled it last sunday and today it was time to give it a taste: The surprisingly good Freestyle Doppelbock. It was our first crack at home brewing and the beer is pretty tasty. The relatively high ABV (probably around 7,5%) flattened us out after two glasses, but maybe that was only because of the humpday-exhaustion.

In the oven today: Dog snacks!

Brot aus dem Pale-Ale-Treber von gestern. Leider nicht tief genug eingeschnitten, so dass es etwas explodiert ist. Doesn't matter, have bread!

Einmaischen und Läutern des Bullwasher IPA und abfüllen des Freestyle Doppelbock, das nun fünf Wochen geduldig vor sich her gegärt hat. Erster Eindruck: Lecker!

The Alabama Legislature has approved a bill making it legal to brew beer at home, a practice that had occupied a legal gray area. If Gov. Robert Bentley signs the bill, as he is expected to do, home brewing will be legal in all 50 states.
