@brcmalgamate

The second their clasped hands drooped, Alphys knew something was very wrong.
Their research towards stabilisation held⌠many mistakes. The bromalgamate didnât want separation as their goal - they were happy together - but an early trial nearly did just that. It was the most terrifying thing theyâd experienced; to lose each otherâs thoughts, even if for only a moment.
âŚThey probably werenât quite so keen for a while after that. Everything had to be heavily backed up with the numbers first.

*Frisk claps excitedly [ACT]- 'hug' *Frisk gently hugs
The larger burbled happily at the hug, putting their conjoined hands over Frisk to hug them. This only proceeded to get them covered in the stick goop that made up the Bromalgamate.
*Frisk is now sad. Frisk only wanted to drink tea with him.
Hesitantly the Bromalgamate returned, the larger half cooing reassuringly. The smaller half was still growling though, reminded of times they would rather forget.
*Frisk enters battle with you. [ACT] -'Tea?' *Frisk pelts you with boxes of tea* -583 HP
When they were pelted the being shrieked and vanished immediately, wondering why something it considered a friend would harm it.
The Bromalgamate has fled!
âHa-hhhaaapppyyyyâŚâ the voices mutter in unison, though a deeper one seems to currently hold more authority.
It inches closer, stopping in front of him and sitting there, almost as if waiting for something. It was nervous, though one half more so than the other.

The being stares with what could be considered confusion, each hand gripping the other tighter. It began speaking, two voices warping together, as if they were saying the same thing when in reality their words were nowhere near alike.
âHhhhhaaaappppyyyyy~â the louder one cooed out again, seemingly nervous.
âNot both, thereâs only one...â the quieter disagreed. The being could honestly not grasp the concept of not being one anymore.

The Bromalgamate watched the other curiously, the taller half leaning forward in eagerness, the smaller half watching cautiously, yet the curious air was also there, it was obvious it wasnât sure what this other was.
âFffrriiiieeennnd?â the word slurred together, but it only came in one voice instead of that garbled mix of two. The smaller form stayed silent, a small growl of warning emitting from it.
As soon as the taller -assumed Papyrus by Megaâs knowledge- leaned forward, they leaned back, mouth pressed shut tightly as they pulled their mildly horrified expression into a tight frown. It was so tempting to just run away; to just pretended they never saw this and to continue and ignore what the anonymous figures had said.
âŚThough, curiosity did get the better of them, even if it was morbid, and they slowly nodded. Friend, not so much. Acquaintance and not a threat? That definitely sounded more correct. With anxious fingers, they reached out to shake their hand -if there was any hand to shake, that is- and tried to utter at least something.
ââŚH-H-hi?â
When it didnât reply to them the taller half seemed to burble in what seemed like disappointment- it obviously was hopeful for the prospect of a friendship. The small half seemed to have no such hope, instead it stayed silent and cautious of Mega, letting the taller move them and speak for them.
When they offered a hand the being looked at it before both heads swiveled to their own joined hands. Slowly after a moment a small bit of the mass (that was obviously supposed to be another arm) was held out, taking their hand and shaking it before pulling back, leaving some of the goop as it did.
âFffrriiiieeennnd?â it repeated again, insisting.
This being was like it, it was them yet it was so much more. The being gurgled happily, two voices mixing together in a horrid-sounding noise that was meant to be pleasure but just sounded like pain.
âHhhaaaappppyy~â it cooed out, moving closer.
No.
No no no no no no this wasnât what they wanted to see after their encounters with the anonymous creatures mentioning that thing; far from it. But it was so much more horrifying and unsettling in person than what they imagined it would be.
âHhhhhhhhhhâŚâ Words failed them for the most part, their chest glowing in varying intensities of blue and orange as they did their best to stay fused together. Breaking apart meant splitting up their magic, and that wouldnât prove very efficient.
They could only nod and grin with teeth bared.

âPenny?â a different voice questioned, this one more clear, if only sounding as if it was in pain.
She was slightly taken aback when she heard the second voice, she nodded again. âThatâs right, thatâs my name. Whatâs your name?â
When she asked for its name the creature didnât reply, though they looked at each other mutely, as if trying to debate this.
The being lurched slightly forward, looking over him curiously. Soft, please hums left it, yet at the same time soft, fearful whimpers were audible, just more quiet.
( @goingtobereset )
Sans froze up as soon as he noticed the gelatinous thing shuffling its way towards him. It was wrong, wrong, wrong; nothing should have been like that and still remained living, if this could still be considered as living, that is. Fortunately, it seemed friendly, or at least not liable to attack him anytime soon.
Slowly raising a shaky hand, he gave it a little wave. âU-uh, hi.â
When he didnât run immediately the Bromalgamate was pleased, the large being cooing a bit louder, the sounds of the whimpers dying to silence. The smaller form shifted closer to the taller, as though trying to hide behind it. The taller looked at it before turning itâs gaze back to Sans.
âGo....â a small, pained sounding voice came from the smaller.

When she didnât immediately attack it the being cooed happily. âHhuuummmaaannn?â a mangled sounding voice questioned, the taller half leaning a bit more forward than the other half.
Oh so it could talk, though not very well from what it sounded like. She smiled and nodded her head. âYeah, Iâm a human. My name is Penny.â
âPenny?â a different voice questioned, this one more clear, if only sounding as if it was in pain.
When he held out the hand the being didnât take it, the taller shaking itâs head in denial- not of their forgiveness but of the touch. Their hand was taken by their other halfâs anyways.
ââŚ.Papyrus?â it was a concerned mutter, as if asked if he was okay. The voice sounded much more clear, though it also held pain, as if a badly injured person was speaking to him. The smaller head, the owner of the voice, leaned a bit closer.
Something warm and gooey and sticky took his hand, and Papyrus harnessed every bit of self-control not to jerk back. After all, heâd been the one to offer his hand first. The voice that spoke elicted pity and horror simultaneously, but the liar did his best not to let it show.
âY-YES! THAT IS MY NAME!â His cheery attitude was fooling no one. âYOU⌠SOUND HURT. IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO?⌠NYEH HEH. NO, OF COURSE THERE ISNâT.â
He squeezed just a little bit, hoping this wasnât hurting the amalgamate â but Pap wanted the monster to know that despite his fear, he still cared. âIâM SORRY.â
The half-melted appendage was pulled away from his grasp slowly, as if hesitant to let him go. A mournful look crossed the smaller halfâs face, as if it was looking at something it did not want to see. When he questioned if there was anything he could do the being backed up a bit.
âHaaaappppyyy.â it sighed deeply, as if tired and just lying to avoid the conversation. It sure didnât seem happy if the wailing from earlier was any indication of the creatureâs mood.
The smaller stayed quietly, relaxing against the taller half quietly, seemingly not melting into the mess like youâd expect.
