I accidentally have a bird now I guess, I don't even know what kind it is. My mom was driving me home from work because my car is #broken and there was just a fucking bird in the middle of the road injured, so we took it home and it's now in a box. I think it's wing got knicked by either a cat that was there or a car but it currently cannot fly
BIRDIE UPDATE
Found out the species, it's a scrub jay!!! And it's also a juvenile which explains why it can't fly very well, but also something must've clipped the feathers on the wings because I'm pretty sure that's not meant to happen? Weird that it's symmetrical though. Idk the sex yet and it's getting more comfortable being held and touched. It doesn't seem hurt to me, but I'll see if I can get a better examination later. It's hopping around seemingly fine, and it sure does love shitting in its water bowl, but I have a lizard that loves do to the same so. Not new to me lmao
