What is the greatest thing you can experience? It is the hour of your greatest contempt. The hour in which even your happiness becomes loathsome to you, and so also your reason and virtue. The hour when you say: What good is my happiness? It is poverty and filth and wretched contentment. But my happiness should justify existence itself! The hour when you say: What good is my reason? Does it long for knowledge as the lion for his prey? It is poverty and filth and wretched contentment! The hour when you say: What good is my virtue? It has not yet driven me mad! How weary I am of my good and my evil! It is all poverty and filth and wretched contentment! The hour when you say: What good is my justice? I do not see that I am filled with fire and burning coals. But the just are filled with fire and burning coals! The hour when you say: What good is my pity? Is not pity the cross on which he is nailed who loves man? But my pity is no crucifixion!
We’re not like other people. We don’t have to call each other darling or my dear or my love nor any of that to make a point. Darling and my dearest and very dearest and all that are obscene to me. You know what I’m trying to say. Why do we have to do other things like everyone does?
What is your Personality?
1. Sanguine: The person with this type of personality is impulsive, pleasure-seeking, outgoing, warm, friendly, sociable and charismatic. They tend to enjoy social events, meeting new people and making new friends. They are often lively, energetic and enthusiastic. They are also creative and imaginative. However, sanguine individuals are also sensitive, empathic and compassionate. On the downside, they may struggle with following tasks through to completion, good time keeping, being organised and remembering things.
2. Choleric: The person with this type of personality is ambitious, driven and likes to take control. They are often marked by energy, passion, determination, a clear focus and firm commitment to goals. They tend to dominate others and like to have their own way. On the downside, they may be impatient, intolerant of those who do things differently, and may be subject to mood swings.
3. Melancholic: The person with this type of personality is a deep thinker, who takes life seriously, and feels deeply about the things that matter to them. They are usually introverted, and very private, people. On the downside, they have a tendency to over-think problems, or to worry excessively about fairly minor things. They are usually independent, self-reliant, have strong principles and tend to be a bit of a perfectionist.
4. Phlegmatic: The person with this type of personality is laid back, relaxed, kind, contented and happy to go with the flow. They are non-judgmental, accepting, peace loving and flexible. On the downside, they may be viewed as lazy and lacking in passion, direction and energy. The phlegmatic person makes a wonderful friend!
The boy was Arthur’s son. By Morgause? Gwenhwyfar did not think so. All her feminine instincts told her that her fastidious husband was unlikely ever to have been attracted by Morgause’s voluptuous charms. The kife edge of pain ripped through her once more. She thought she knew who Mordred’s mother was. Not Morgause but Morgause’s sister. The witch. Morgan.
It had been wonderful and they had been truly happy and he had not known that you could love anyone so much that you cared about nothing else and other things seemed nonexistent.
What I find very attractive, what I find sexual, are people who are unapologetic for who they are and comfortable with themselves. And I think with those two things sexual energy does come out because you’re not hovering or censoring yourself, you’re just being who you are. And being who you are is a very attractive quality in a person.
Sometimes, people can go missing right before our very eyes. Sometimes, people discover you, even though they've been looking at you the entire time. Sometimes, we lose sigh of ourselves when we're no paying enough attention.
You look sad when you think he can’t see you. Are you okay? And don’t just say you are, because I know what that means, looking sad when you think no one can see you.
I drown my thoughts in songs louder than the voices in my head.
A dictionary resembles the world more than a novel does, because the world is not a coherent sequence of actions but a constellation of things perceived. It is looked at, unrelated things congregate, and a geographic proximity gives them meaning. If events follow each other, they are believed to be a story. but in a dictionary, time doesn't exist: ABC is neither more nor less chronological than BCA. To portray your life in order would be absurd: I remember you at random. My brain resurrects you through stochastic details, like picking marbles out of a bag.
He said our curse as humans is that we are trapped in time-our cruse is that we are forced to interpret life as a sequence of events-a story-and that when we can't figure out what our particular story is we feel lost somehow.
How to Develop Willpower
1. Make a list of those situations where you find it really hard to have willpower.
2. Brainstorm for ways that you can start to feel more positive about demonstrating will power. For example, plan to reward yourself every time you do something you really didn’t want to do.
3. Break bigger, more challenging, tasks down into much smaller, and more achievable, tasks. Acknowledge each step in the right direction. Recognize that you’re making progress.
4. Decide to challenge any tendency towards procrastination. Decide that you can change if you take it slowly. Set daily, realistic goals for yourself. Decide to follow through with them – no matter what! If it helps, have someone you can be accountable to at the end of each day (or week).
5. Push yourself to keep taking the small steps. In time, making an effort will become a habit. Hang in there until it does.
6. Focus on the long term benefits of achieving your goal. Imagine what it will be like – how your life will be, and how you will feel when you reach your goal. Try to visualize it in detail.
Let today be the day you stop being haunted by the ghost of yesterday. Holding a grudge and harboring anger/resentment is poison to the soul. Get even with people…but not those who have hurt us, forget them. Instead get even with those who have helped us.
