She howls with all her might. A long time. Wounded beast.
Pauline Albanese, The Closed Doors (via florizels)
a c h i l l e s ; you are a war drum. your name is a battle chant on ten thousand lips, you are a weapon to be pointed. born for war but made, piece by precious piece by the love of a man more gentle than you could have dreamed. you know your pride is vicious, it is far sharper than any spear you wield. it will destroy more than you know. a c h i l l e s; when he dies you will feel like the world is burning, like the stars are dying one by one. there are some wounds that don’t heal.

Lived long enough to become the villian
☞☞ The Guardian had been somewhat selfless, perhaps. "Don't touch my Ghost! Leave him alone!" Beneath her boot and the weight of the crushing force she pressed with, the tiny machine wriggled weakly and hopelessly. Tabi could see the darting glow of it's light as panic began to set in, though she was sure that its' calculations were all coming up with the same result, no matter the algorithm or equation it entered; its' time was ending. And honestly, Tabi couldn't care any less.Under the scrutiny of a dead eye and an indifferent gaze, the Guardian begged in the muck of Venus' under tunnels, the pressure of cracked ribs and a possible oncoming concussion limiting movement. "Please, please leave him alone. Let him go." For a moment, the weight against Patsin (she had heard him be affectionately called upon seeking out her new prey) lessened, and from the missing panels of his helmet, the glowing eyes of the Awoken before her showed slight relief."I like you begging," Her voice was a harsh rasp of its' former clear glory, and the hastily repaired armor protecting her neck hid a garden of thick scarring. She took her gaze away from the soon-to-be-victim at her feet to admire her Auto-rifle, twisting it ominously in her grip before reloading it, sharply scrutinizing the Hunter in her midst, "Do it again."
"P-please ... Please I beg you." Tabi was silent for a moment, and when she spoke, a sick grin was evident in her voice, "Terribly sorry; I've met my quota for second thoughts today." And she crushed the Ghost beneath her boot, dragging it against the ground as if it were an insect and watching as the tiny sparks of what used to be its' life and Light illuminated the shocked face of the Hunter before her. Rage lit him up for a single instant, but faltered fantastically when a single bullet from her weapon pierced the exposed piece of his face to slam him into the mud.
