Story: i remember when i was a child every time i would get on a boat i would fall asleep. The waves rocking me to sleep would carry over when I fell asleep in my bed at night. I miss that feeling, living on the coast my whole life I spent a lot of my summers on my dad’s little boat. This painting really took me down memory lane!

I wanted this painting to symbolize a woman’s hard work and showing off her first bread. In a deeper meaning the bread symbolizes her first born and showing off her hard work to get where she is right now.
