Samantha couldn’t help but to feel like Bree’s excitement was contagious, but the thing is that it really was. She usually went out with Sawyer, but with her best friend’s nights being taken over by her job, Sam found herself being forced to go out alone more often. Which it was fine, she didn’t mind. Sometimes she asked Damian to tag along, because Bruce often scared the sexy men away with his attitude and overprotection over Samantha. Damian, though? Damian was fun. Iris could be fun, too, if she learned how to relax every once in a while. With Adelina getting older, Iris took it to her to look after the woman she considered to be her mother.
“It does, doesn’t it?” Sam laughed softly. “Ah, Bree–you’ve got to live a little, you know? Everything in life is about balance. You can’t work too much, and you can’t party too much. If you find the perfect balance between work and leisure, then you’re set. You’re on your way to happiness.” Smiling at the other woman, she glanced down at the menu, biting lightly on her bottom lip to choose what to order. Sam waited for Bree to order first and then, smiled at the waitress. “Hi. I’ll have a Panang Curry, and one Pad Krapow Moo Sab, please.”
Once the woman left to get their food, Sam cleared her throat, before motioning her hand towards the auburn-haired woman in front of her. “So–what do you want for friday? Bar or club? I assure you that both will be packed with hot men willing to show you a good time.”
Live a little. The idea sounded foreign, like a distant memory, but Bree somehow knew that Sam had given her an answer to some problem that Bree hadn’t even realized she had. “Balance has never been my strength,” Bree admitted needlessly. “I’m more of an all or nothing type. But you’re right. Plus I need some entertainment, and some hot men will definitely do that.”
Bree sunk into the booth, finding herself relaxing at last in the other female’s presence, although she wouldn’t let her guard down completely. Sam still was the future alpha, after all. The she-wolf tapped her lower lip with a single finger, playing up the decision between bar and club.
“I think there will be more people willing to make some memorable mistakes at a club,” Bree replied. “Bars feel more mature, and if I’m going to go out, I need to go all out. Is that okay?”
The food arrived and Bree practically snatched her plate from the waitress’s hands (although she did restrain herself). The spicy, mouthwatering scent wiped any signs of speech, and Bree popped a piece of chicken in her mouth. The flavors coated her tongue, and Bree hummed at the taste. Swallowing, Bree regained some of her manners.
“I’m pretty sure that this is the best food I’ve had in a while,” She grinned. With some food in her system, Bree suddenly felt like she had taken over the day, and she turned her attention back to Sam.
“How are you been, though, Sam? I feel like you’ve just listened to me whine.”
griffin-o-callahan:
“Ahhhh..” An approving nod came about as Griffin closed his eyes for the few seconds it lasted. Upon opening them he smiled at the smaller female wolf. “Well that’s very nice of you my lady.” He chuckled and folded his arms over his own chest much like her. “Not used to trading names so quickly. Griffin, at least that’s the one I know. And you?”
Bree snorted at the male’s words. “I like to know the name of my victims,” She replied, giving a half smile and a joking note in her tone. “My name is Bree. Now, do you want to do this on two legs or four?” Although she may have been teasing about victims, she wouldn’t refuse an offer of a spar. Her adrenaline thrummed through her veins, and she welcomed the opportunity to test her strength.

Bree didn’t often take advice from other people, but she had decided to listen to her future alpha’s wishes and get out for once. She strolled through the groups of people, listening to the multitude of voices overlaying the sweet notes of the bands nearby. Perhaps because of the warm pretzel in her hand, the beer that already thrummed through her veins, and the promise of a full moon later in the evening, Bree was in an exceptionally good mood.
Turning, her shoulder brushed someone’s, and instead of the normal snarl that would’ve twisted her features, Bree grinned. “Having a good time?”

because her eyes were that of a she wolf burning yellow in a snowy haze a glance left you petrified as if you were trapped in her gaze she kept you there you did not move but the end still came swiftly even though you listened to her commands she didn’t love you gently

He smiled nostalgic after remembering his father’s friend “After a long fly from New Zealand, I gotta tell you this might seemed close but is not when you are at that side of the world” He chuckled, it was odd the way the woman looked at him, he was starting to feel like he was being tested by his answers.
Everything is better on four legs, he didn’t knew, it was like that side of his life it was just a huge interrogation sign, he haven’t spend his nights in a place with space to run, and it was hard for him to even thought about him as a wolf, after spending all his life trying to suppressed that side of him, it was a matter of time that his own brain would block any kind of memory or connection with his wolf side. “Yeah I suppose.” For someone that was trying really hard not to act like a rookie, he was failing completely at lying to her.
The male didn’t take the bait--not fully, anyway. She could see the subtle tells of a lie, but she didn’t react immediately. Why did it seem as though all the wolves that she’d recently encountered wouldn’t acknowledge their second form? The idea of denying herself, her snow white pelt and her feral instincts, made Bree cringe.
“I see.” Bree said it calmly, when she really wanted to howl don’t deny it, you’d rather stay on two legs! Instead, the she-wolf ran fingers through her hair, a habit she’d picked up since she was a pup. “It’s really not terrible you know,” She finally added. Before she could continue further, she paused and switched subjects.
“Doesn’t the ocean scare you any? You don’t know what’s beneath you. Jaws, and all that.”
“Can I help you, you are you looking to join in on some sparring?”
Bree’s eyebrows shot to the top of her hairline, and a sharp smile twisted her lips.
“I wouldn’t want to humiliate you,” She answered, crossing her arms before her chest. “Besides, I haven’t even caught your name.”

He had to admit, her question amused him, of course he knew that growing up in Hawaii didn’t meant everyone liked or knew how to surf, but in his case being Hawaiian was directly related to how good he was in aquatic sport “Yeah, I’m Hawaiian, I probably learned how to surf before I walking.” He smirked at the girl, knowing that was a little exaggerating but he did got on a board rather young.
Her next question, on the other hand, caught him off guard, he had never pictured himself like that, he hardly ever dreamed about his wolf form. even picture him that way, made him a little anxious, he always spend his full moods locked away from everyone. And until a day ago, he believed that was the only way to spend full moons. He shook his head and cleared his voice “No, I haven’t had the opportunity to enjoy it the beach that way.” He said before a traitor sigh came out from him without his permission.
“How’d you get to Astoria?” The question popped out of Bree’s mouth before she could curb it, but her curiosity was at a high. She cocked her head to the side, studying the other wolf.
Bree noticed Tane’s sigh, and like a wolf on the hunt, she pursued after her quarry--albeit, very cautiously. Something about the way he exhaled, his body language; the movements made Bree think of surprise and something... else. Something she couldn’t quite name.
“Everything is better on four legs,” Bree said. “But it sounds like you may have a different opinion.” She didn’t press, but she glanced at Tane curiously, waiting to see if he’d bite.

“Oh really? How convenient. I’ll be sure to keep my old gift cards away from you just in case. They’re so valuable i’d hate to have them stolen.” The witch joked, slowing down a bit to let the werewolf catch up with her. She didn’t know why she was so tense about someone following her. It’s not like anything bad would happen— this was Astoria after all.
“Walking is probably the most exercise i’ve done in years. Not too big on the whole ‘sweating for fun’ concept.” Natalie shrugged, watching the werewolf. “Late shift at work. Super exciting.”
Bree snorted at the witch’s response, first to the gift cards and then to the exercise comment. Personally Bree couldn’t imagine not exercising, not sweating and feeling herself work. To each their own, however.
“Late shifts are better than early shifts,” Bree replied. She still kept her distance from the witch, her hands shoved deep into her pockets. Adrenaline still thrummed softly through her veins, and she felt her fingers curling and uncurling with the need for greater movement. She resisted; she needed some rest, still.
“Where do you work at, if you don’t mind my asking?” She continued. She wouldn’t put pressure on the other woman to answer, if she didn’t feel comfortable. “I work out at the National Park, so we’re never really late shift, although I’d prefer that some days.”

Tane felt a little silly after her reaction to his question, it was probably the dumbest question you could ask to a wolf, but he still had a hard time controlling his skills, even after all this years and no matter how heard he tried to focus, he still had a hard time doing it. He slowly nodded and it was one of those times when he pretend to know more about something he obviously didn’t “Yeah, you are right is just like that, I guess is just this claustrophobic feeling I’m getting it”
He had to admit it was very nice of her to try calming him, it wasn’t like he was about to had an episode, where he lose all kind of control of his body, he knew when he was going to, he would feel a tingle on his hands. He slowly grinned at her comment “Seems like a good way to calm down, but I most admit, forest aren’t a place where I could say I feel like home, I’m a little more of a beach guy, I’m Hawaiian after all. But I will try to do that to listen to the wave and picture the ocean, thanks for the idea.”
“The ocean?” Bree’s surprise carried through her voice. “That must be amazing. I’ve only been to the ocean once before, when I was just a pup, so the memories are fuzzy. Do you surf?”
Mentally, she kicked herself; why start a conversation with a wolf that didn’t particularly matter, and that wasn’t involved with the pack? Tane could prove a danger, after everything was said and done. How could he be dangerous when he’s barely a puppy himself?
Bree shifted, a bit wary of her own interest in the conversation. She tried to picture herself at the beach as a woman, standing tall in the break, but the image didn’t feel quite right. She transformed into a white wolf, running along the beach, but the idea still didn’t seem comfortable. “Have you ever run as a wolf on the beach?” She asked suddenly.
