one thing i think this fandom lacks is the understanding that many things can be true at the same time.

did Armand partake in the ruthless murder of Claudia? absolutely.

did Louis enable the fucked up power dynamics of pimp/sex slave between him and Armand? absolutely.

was Lestat a victim? absolutely.

did he also perpetuate the same cycles of abuse he himself was a victim of? absolutely.

do i wish the season had a different pacing and had more scenes from the TVL book? absolutely.

do i think the season works as a part 1 of 2 of a very long arc? absolutely (and i had soooo much fun watching it).

i have said this a billion times already but i do believe complexity and nuance are the key words here.

with that being said, that's all i'll say about this for now (and for a long time). i want to have fun with this show i cherish so incredibly much.

Why is Armand mad at Lestat?

Because of Big Boss.

Because he ignores the rules and gets away with it.

Because he would stop him from doing what he wants to do to Louis.

Because he wouldn't listen to his apology letter.

Because Lestat literally tells him to go unalive himself earlier in the season.

Because Louis threw Armand into a wall for his part in the play then went back to Lestat who also participated in the play.

Because he didn't listen to him about Nicki and then he made him clean up the mess.

I'm sorry, but when I see people say "why is Armand mad at Lestat?" I feel like we were given about a dozen reasons this season and a dozen reasons last season.

Additionally, Armand says in Ep 7 that he is planning to put both of them back together ("Don't write his obituary yet." "Apologize so we can both get on with our lives"). Killing them was never the goal and that is stated in the text of the episode.
