“Yes I understand thanks for keeping me up to date.” Georgette replied to the other line as she walked through the exits of the attempt of death that happened previously. There was a few things that startle her and this attempt to play devil’s doer made it difficult for her to even catch a moment to think off. Turning a corner she couldn’t help but look over at some people whom seem to be far  worse. Placing her phone back in her coat pocket, she walks up closer wondering what things she would discover on this particular day.

“You can go in to see Ms. Robinson, but it will have to be a short visit. She still tires easily, and she needs her rest.” The nurse’s voice outside her door was all the warning Adelaide got that people were coming. She struggled to sit up in bed so that she could present a decent smile to her visitor, although she couldn’t really do anything about how pale she was and the tubes keeping her hydrated and medicated as needed. Still, when her visitor walked in she said as cheerfully as possible, “Hi, it’s so kind of you to come see me.”

Watching people avoid sitting near her when there was nowhere else to go was one of Riona’s favorite pasttimes.  She didn’t care - actually she liked it as it gave her a feeling of fierceness.  The next poor soul to look over was just in the wrong place at the wrong time as she called out.  “Yeah, I bite.  But you’ll never know if you like it if you don’t try it.”

Aramis sat across the street from a small cafe, shameless stealing their WiFi as he drafted some ideas for his next social media post. It was starting to gain popularity, but so far, none of the families had been damaged by it. He had to think of something better.

He was scrolling through a popular website known for its worldwide conspiracies, thinking of ways to connect people and events in Breton to them. But when a hand rested on his shoulder, Aramis nearly jumped out of skin. “Christ, you scared the shit out of me,” he sighed, pocketing his phone. He wondered how long they’d been standing there, what they might’ve seen.

“Hm…” Wendy hummed, looking down at her phone. “You’d think people would have something better to do than send DMs to strangers on the internet. Which one should I ignore first? The one calling me a dumb cow, the one sending me weekly dick pics, or the one obviously trying to lure me to a murder house in the woods?”

Liana very rarely found herself in bad moods. That wasn’t to say she didn’t get frustrated or sad, but she was generally able to remain positive and optimistic about things. Generally, except for today it seemed. It had been one of those days where everything seemed to go wrong. When she tripped on a crack in the sidewalk and dropped her bag full of papers and other supplies she exclaimed “Oh come on! Really?”

Carrying two long fabric spools under her arm, Penelope began to wish she had better upper body strength, or longer arms at least. The long tubes were unruly and a couple yards of crepe back satin wasn’t anything to sneeze at. A stranger walked past her and while she wasn’t in the theater proper, she was still very much in work mode. “Help me with these,” she commanded her gaze steely. “My car isn’t far,” she assured them. After all she hadn’t checked to make sure the person she wad domineering was a sub. Though that hardly stopped her at work.

Adelaide muttered to herself as she replied to the text message, annoyance making her speak out loud as if it would somehow get the message through. “No, you don’t need to come. I’m sure you’re busy. I’ll be sure to send you pictures.” Looking up, she realized she was about to walk into someone and jerked to a stop. “Sorry! I should have been paying better attention, but..I’m sorry. Did I bump you?”

Dean blinked at the customer in front of him who’d spat out a ridiculously complicated order. “Two shots of espresso on top of everything else. Daring today, aren’t we?” he asked, barely able to mask the annoyance in his tone. He slowly shuffled his feet to make the order, glancing up at the clock. Fifteen minutes left in his shift. Could he possibly manage to stretch this order this long? “Did you say you wanted soy milk or goat’s milk?” he asked, knowing full well they didn’t even serve goat’s milk.

Andrew groaned as he pulled the last of the vines and weeds from the stairs and garden in front of his neglected new home. Shaking out the sting of a good workout from his arms, he decided to take a seat on the steps and catch his breath before pulling out the hose and power washer to move on to his next task. In his eyes, everything looked far worse than it had when he’d started. His blue eyes stared at the small mountain of unearthed foliage waiting to be thrown in a bag. Drew wondered what he could bribe the five year old playing tea party at the kitchen table behind him with to get her to kick it into a bag when an unfamiliar face approached him. Not wanting to look like an absolute slob, especially given the sheen of sweat and his heavy breathing, he heaved all six feet and change of himself up, breathlessly offering a hello to the stranger.

Sam had skipped out on all the big fancy parties last year. And before that he’d been in London. So he’d forgotten how lavish these big parties were–and how overwhelmingly full. At least he had a mask to ‘hide’ behind. This was part of his healing though…getting back out there, trying to reclaim his life. So he’d stick it out for a few more hours, maybe even manage to have some fun- and to accomplish that, he headed to the bar. He downed a shot first just to take the edge off before ordering an actual drink, but when a cocktail glass was slid in front of him instead, he shook his head. “Oh–no, uhh..” he looked to the person beside him, shooting them a little smile, “Sorry..is this yours?”

Liana had tucked herself into an alcove and had just pulled out a granola bar when she felt a presence near her. She assumed it was a member of the staff there to berate her. “I swear I’m not trying to trespass, I’m just- Oh. You don’t work here.”

“My buddies bet me that I wouldn’t be able to start a conversation with the most beautiful Dominant standing by the bar,” Loic delivered playfully as he came up beside the masked stranger. “Wanna buy some drinks with their money?”

“Um, could you actually not pet him?” Rory timidly spoke up to the individual who had stopped and bent down to pet the border collie the submissive had been walking, the one whose vest clearly said Service Dog in Training. “He’s, um, he’s working.” It still felt quite strange to the brunette walking around with the dog. As much as she looked forward to his company, she hated to think of what this all meant for her, for her health… At least he was cute.

Rhett hated these types of events. Even when Maeva was alive, he’d hated them. He was a casual kind of guy stuck in a suit, with loud music he didn’t like blaring, and far too many people milling around. As a widower, his opinion of the whole thing had drastically dropped.

But there was alcohol and if he was going to be stuck here for the minimum couple of hours, he’d certainly be drinking. 

“Three snakebites and a glass of whiskey, neat. Thanks,” Rhett told the bartender, unfazed by the strange look he received in return. Still, the bartender began preparing the drinks, lining up the three shots first before pouring the whiskey. Rhett moved to take his first shot, but before he could tip it back, someone moved next to him and picked up one of the glasses.

“Hey, that’s mine,” Rhett said, irritably.

“It’s well known that at events like these, you absolutely have to dance with me. I’m sorry. I don’t make the rules, but it’s an absolute must,” Jae said to the other person, smiling a bright, cheery smile.
