Gigantic Brewing Company announces their upcoming 2019 releases
Fast off of 2018, Gigantic Brewing has announced their upcoming releases for 2019.
If thereâs a collaboration theme, itâs Cascadia and beyond with future brewery collaborations with Seattle-based Holy Mountain and Reubenâs Brews, Yakimaâs Bale Breaker Brewing, British Columbia favorites Brassneck and Parallel 49. In addition to the Pacific Northwest, Gigantic Brewing is teaming up Texasâs Austin Beer Garden Brewing Company.
Besides collaborations, Gigantic has promoted their Sassy Pony Hoppy Pale to year-round availability, alongside favorites Gigantic IPA, Koslchtasti and Ginormous DIPA. Of course, throughout the year, you can also expect small-batch beers released throughout the year as well as returning seasonals like Most Most Premium Bourbon Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout, and the multi-variant release of MASSIVE! Barrel-aged Barleywine aged with bourbon barrels, rum barrels, cognac barrels, mezcal barrels, Scottish Whisky barrels, port barrels, or maple syrup. Other returning favorites include plans to brew another batch of Sodbusted, Fres Hop Ale, in the Fall; made with Simcoe hops from Sodbuster Farms in the Willamette Valley
Additional brewery themes which will be used throughout 2019 include Dance (with The Time Warp, The Hustle, The Tighten Up, and The Shimmy & Shake; the Brett Cellar Series) and Brett (with additional variations to their Fantastic Voyage Brett Saison made with everything from Pinot Noir, to Dry-hopping).
Finally, the brewery enjoyed brewing The Cat Ate My Stash & Pissed On the Xmas Tree, that they will be brewing it again for a late Fall early Winter release.
For up to date news and Gigantic Brewing releases follow us in 2019.

Recap - Inaugural Christmas Beer Exchange @ Spindletap Brewery
Hope everyone is enjoying their Christmas Break! Here are a few photos from the event. My first time participating in a white elephant gift exchange was a good time out of the gate. For starters, it was held at Spindletap Brewery on the same day as âSpruced Upâ was released. Got a chance to get a 4 pack to take home! Next a lot of solid beers were passed around, got a chance to sip a few tasters and try the pulled pork from spindletap. Once the game got started it flowed easily. I learned a few tips such as being called later in the line up can help you seal the deal on a better gift. I ended up being number 63. The first package I picked was Parish DDH Ghost in the Machine and I canât remember the next beer I received, but they were shortly taken away (I didnât think anyone would want it, but someone definitely wanted the Ghost). After that I was able to hold onto a BaaBaa Tiny Heart and Brash Milk The Venom. This ended up being great for me because I appreciate stouts, MTVenom is a favorite of mine and Tiny Heart was a great first timer. After the gift exchange we continued to drank a bit more and eventually went to Ingenious for another round. To sum things up Beerfedmother strikes again on another successful event. Also have to mention the Beer Tasting HTX group and Jonathan ( The guy in the swaggy christmas suit lol). Great beer, great people, and great times to remember.

As Christmas approaches, holiday parties and gift exchanges begin with family, friends, and coworkers. The craft beer community is no different. There are countless events taking place such as secret Santa beer exchanges; âtis the season.
Hop Culture created a nation wide secret Santa beer exchange. I sent out a nice package of Houston Craft beer to California for my assignment. The above photo is what we revived just in time for Christmas:
Liquid Mechanics - PB Porter
Paradox Beer Co - Salty Lemons 18â
Black Bottle Brewery - Count Chocula Cereal Milk Stout
Renegade Brewing - Pancakes Maple Porter
SKA Brewing - Pint Glass
Weldwerks Brewing - Pina Colada Milkshake, Galaxy DDH Juicy Bits (IPAs), and Chai Baltic Porter
This is an amazing way to showcase just how great the craft beer community is. It serves as an additional way to try beers that may be outside of your network or personal radar. (Iâve never tried any of these breweries beforehand, except Weldwerks.) And who knows if Iâll ever go back to Colorado again, but thatâs another story. Thanks Hop Culture!
Tip: I saved our secret Santaâs address and will be sending them a package once the crazed holiday shipping is over; hey âChristmas in Julyâ is a thing so why not January?

Whatâs the worst thing thatâs happened to you at a brewery? Got too lit? Spilled a beer? Broke a glass? How about losing your debit card? The latter happened to me the other night at Saint Arnold. After purchasing merch I somehow dropped my debit card which disappeared into the unreachable cracks of the patio. âGood news, bad news: nobody can reach your cardâ said brewery owner Brock Wagner, who was close by when the fumble happened. He then proceeded to joke with me for dropping it and we laughed as he ushered over one of his employees, instructing them to take care of my tab. Bring on the wings, chips, and queso!
- Odell
P.S. Iâm waiting on a new debit card!

*Currently Drinking Untitled Art X Lupulin Brewing
Just a few pictures from last night. First I would like to thank Tubby for this dope glass ( check them out at https://thetubby.co ) first saw these glasses (or similar ones) at Mikkeller and its great that I now own one! Itâs the perfect pour for any beer.
Where do I start, last night was great. Received my Houstonâs Hottest Brewers calendar for 2019 and I am 100 percent satisfied. Dope concept, cool photos displaying the brewers personalities and the meet up at Saint Arnold Brewing was great. Got to meet a few new people, shake hands with some familiar folks, received some cool glassware from Houston Beer Guide and I hope to see everyone sometime in the near future. It was actually my first time at Saint Arnoldâs (odd enough) but I was able to get a French press on tap and thanks to Odell (insider) we were able to get some food on the house. I will add that Brockâs centrefold picture took the cake for all photos lol! Shoutout to Beer Fed Mother & GPO for collaborating on a great idea.
After the party we stopped in at Craft Beer Cellar to pick up a few cans of an Untitled Art release (one of which I am currently drinking). Luckily, they just so happened to have $8 flights on all taps. Had to briefly take advantage of that deal and then the night was ended. Before ending the night I had to stop at halal guys to replenish my spirits, but I made it home and slept well!
Cheers!

Often times, breweries will release a beer every few months in batches. Batch one, then months later the same beer releases again - batch 2 and so fourth. This formula works well, especially when the beer is great. The demand will almost always justify the supply. Now, my question is: what about those âone offsâ (or special release) beers that drop but are never produced again. What happens to these recipes? More specially; B-52âs RAAAAAAAANDY - an American Pale Ale. Iâve enjoyed it once back when B-52 was only canning in crowlers. To my knowledge, it wasnât released again or perhaps I slept; perhaps I missed it. Bring it back B-52.Â
Which beer would you like to see brought back?

Craft Beer Thought 12-10-18
Just got back in from an impromptu meet up at The Hay Merchant. Was able to get a snifter of the Brash Milk The venom and also try The Peanvt Bvtter Wolf. Both were equally good, although a little high in price for the amount of beer I was served (In comparison to other craft bars). Although, the atmosphere was great and we were able to catch the game, so I canât complain too much. I do wish there was a bit more on the selection (even though its a full page of selections... I need a little more haze lol), although another mention does go to the Firestone Walker Patrick Hayze!
Tomorrow we will be at Saint Arnold Brewing for the calendar release party for houstonâs hottest brewers of â19, benefiting the CraftPAC. So if you are available feel free to come out and enjoy some drinks with us, Cheers!

Craft Beer Thought 12-9-18
Last night we were able to get together for our second bottle share event since the start of Brew Bros. We often come together to drink with friends or have mini shares between ourselves. As you can see in the photo, yesterday seemed like we went all out. For starters we had plenty of stouts, IPAs, a few sours, good laughter and a great time altogether. We were able to get Topo Chico to sponsor the event (which definitely helped with keeping us hydrated), food by SeafoodEatfood, and even gifts were given out in the Holiday spirit. It took me back to what I feel craft beer is all about.
We often see cans with slogans /words of encouragement, such as âshare with friendsâ etc, but sometimes even I find myself drinking those great beers alone (maybe because itâs so good lol!). For myself craft beer ultimately breaks down to the community and also showing people the way who havenât entered the craft beer realm. If you find something great, why should you keep it to yourself? Sometimes the community can feel like a special club where only certain people are allowed and at the end of the day itâs cool that only certain people will relate. Although youâd think everyone would want more people to drink craft which would help push the culture forward to a new plateau.Â
Either way Brew Bros is going to keep pushing the culture forward with more events and inviting more people into the lifestyle. Whatever we can do to help push the culture forward while having a good time is where youâll find us. Cheers

Here at the Brew Bros weâve been on the craft beer journey for a few years now. I still consider us newcomers to the community, starting off at 8th Wonder, then traveling to breweries across the city, and then traveling to breweries in different states. Iâve had my fair share of over spending on my weekly beer budget, standing in lines for releases, and not to mention being an avid HAZY IPA supporter, lol. Lately Iâve been searching for something a bit more heavy and on the dark side. I love the idea of being able to drink a fresh batch of beer, but I havenât been liking the idea of limited releases or releases that sell out in a matter of minutes online. So I always enjoy a good bottle share or if I have to resort to buying certain releases out of my local store. I normally despise it, although this release from Saint Arnoldâs brewery is actually a very solid release. It makes buying a âshelfieâ not so bad, after having bought several that were on the not so good side. You can definitely taste the coffee, smooth and gives a nice buzz. If you get a chance check it out, Cheers and good night!
