Gigi is an incredibly talented hair stylist and the gold standard I compare all hair stylists in NYC by - there is really no one like her out there. Not only is she talented, she has the BIGGEST heart!!! Gigi was able to get folks to match her and get $40 per post to go towards #TeamBrighterDays. Gigi, you bless my heart in more ways that you know; so today, I share one of my biggest #gigied experiences from 9yrs ago - the one that gave me the most confidence in myself. This was the first drastic cut I ever got and Gigi walked and talked me through it making me feel beautiful. To Ava and her family, your story is such a testament to your faith in God. Just like 8 and 4 years ago, voting in the presidential election today was an incredibly emotional moment for me. Today, after a prayer and tears filling my eyes, I got to cast my vote for President for a woman I believe is the most qualified and can do the job with grace and strength. She is not the perfect candidate. Flawed, like any human. However, my hope and prayer is that she surrounds herself with wise counsel to lead this country to be better, stronger, and more inclusive for all. #ImWithHer I thank God that in my short life, I have been able to witness incredible moments of history - both the good and the bad. I know that the emotions for me this time around is not only because a woman was on the ballot, but knowing how much work and healing needs to happen as a nation after all this is done. The anxiety of the election and its aftermath is real. I rest in knowing that God is in control. (Philippians 4:6-7)
