One thing I really like about The Perks of Being an S-Class Heroine is how realistic the power scaling is. (Note: minor spoilers to follow for notable figures in the world's universe.)

While the two main characters are extremely powerful, that's not the reality of the vast majority of people in this universe.

For reference, the highest level a human can achieve is Tier 9, which is considered transcendent. The only person to have reached this level for most of the story is the main villain.

For almost everyone else in the world, the only super-powerful, Tier 8 people are middle-aged or older and have dedicated their entire lives to one of the Three Great Powers (aura, magic, or divine power).

(The last guy looks young, but trust me when I say appearances are deceiving.)

You have exceptions like Agnes, who reached Aura Master status (i.e., Tier 8 aura) relatively young, but even she seemed to be in her 30's before she passed away. It's never stated when she hit Tier 8, but I'd guess mid- to late-20's.

Divine power also seems to be something of an exception, as it's up to the god a person follows how much power they actually get. And still, Ailette is the only Tier 8 divine user for most of the story. Even the Pope, who you'd think would be the most powerful, is not Tier 8.

People in their early 20's like Prinz and Raewyn, who are talented and work hard, can get up to a decent level of power. (Their exact level isn't given, but I'm guessing Tier 6?) However, without proper support, they can't face S-class bosses on their own. And in this crazy, everything-out-to-get-you world, S-class bosses are the norm.

On top of that, high-level dual-wielders (i.e., users of both aura & magic or aura & divine power) straight-up don't exist outside of the villain and our main two heroes.

It's a massive contrast to romance fantasy settings where there seem to be a lot of sword masters/super-powerful people in their teens and early 20s. It makes it seem like having that much strength isn't that much of an achievement.

That's not a knock on other stories. It's easy to ignore if the main focus is, say, romance. But in The Perks of Being an S-Class Heroine, the "overpowered villains and underpowered heroes" bit is an important part of the setup. This is a world that is doomed from the inside out: it is falling apart, and many people seem to feel this on some instinctive level. It's part of the reason why the main character constantly encounters loss and betrayal throughout his loops. That despair is amplified and even validated to some extent when you see how overwhelmingly strong the bad guys are in comparison to even the strongest human individuals.

Tesilid and Ailette are the only exceptions because they have their own cheat codes (regression and transmigration, respectively) that help them get extremely strong despite their apparent young age. The only people who can compare are much older, and that makes their high level of power actually feel significant.

If we consider the possibility that the original Ailette reincarnated into another world,isn’t it kind of sad? Her family isn’t even aware of it.And at the beginning of the manhwa, Ailette mentions that her younger brother resembles her younger brother from her previous life (if I remember correctly).Is it possible that,after her real life family passed away,they also reincarnated into that world?

Yup, Voice pretty much confirms in Side Story 9 that the her original family all reincarnated with her! The original Rodelines probably got reincarnated in another world.

I do wonder how their reincarnation works, though. I assume they reincarnated normally and don't have their previous memories, so it's honestly hella wild that their lives still took the routes of the original novel's instead of some butterfly effect happening. Like, can you imagine in Elthea (the mom) didn't run away from home. Or if Leonard (the dad) found some other way to handle the issue with his shit supervisor. Or if he hadn't signed the contract with the Gilettes.

Here's a non-exhaustive list of information I have so far / assumptions we have to make:

Let's count the ages of OG!Tesilid (without Ailette, before Voice recreated the world) and Current!Tesilid separately. A lot of the estimates given on Tesilid's current age is also based on only the age of his VoiceWorldEra and doesn't count the time his soul spent in Strict Order's original world

Current!Tesilid is about 7000 years old. (Source: this probably non-canon fun snippet that Irinbi posted on twitter)

His age is around 4 figures (Source: some chapter related to carteleya)

Info relating to the save files/abyss

Each save file can last 10k years. Muriel has 10 of them

Each save file has 30 saves, which puts each save at a maximum of about 333.33 years

Current!Tesilid spent 15 full saves and part of the 16th save in the abyss before Ailette saved him, which puts him at having spent a maximum of 5,333.33 years in the abyss in his current iteration

This means he probably spent a ballpark figure of 7000 - 5333 = 1667 years as a human before being sealed as Reed

iirc Reed spent a few hundred years in some subspace learning magic before he started trying to kill his younger self, so that puts his life actually spent like a human as closer to 1000 than 1500.

Calculating the age of his sould

Voice has stated before that the souls were the only things that are the same as when Strict Order was in charge. Which means that Tesilid's soul should be the same, even if he doesn't remember it and even if he/Carteleya's Eyes doesn't count the age of his soul in Strict Order's save file

Voice says that (1) if Tesilid had spent 10,000 years in the abyss, he would've ascended godhood, and (2) Tesilid was pretty close to it already as-is

If we take 5333 years from his Voice!era, that puts him at a maximum of about 4667 years spent in the abyss before Voice took over. Damn, that's shorter than the amount of time it took before Ailette saved him. That's harsh. What was Voice even going to do if Merchant didn't help Ailette save him? Just let him ascend to godhood? Time in the abyss doesn't flow the same way as Ailette's timeline, so could God!Tesilid feasibly have found his way to Ailette? What was Voice gonna do if Tesilid tries to poach her?!?!??

It could also be that Voice just sucked all the divinity out of Tesilid before loading him into the new world, which effectively reset his age to zero. Tbh. So Tesilid could have spent up to 9999 years in Strict Order's abyss.

TLDR timeline of current!Tesilid's life:

0 to 20: Get lightly screwed over by the Vatican

20 to ~1000: Get fucked

~several hundred years: train and learn magic in the subspace or whatever that is

~1 to 2 years: Wreck havoc in Round 17

Around 1600 y/o to around 7000 y/o: Get fucked (spend at most 5333 years in the abyss)

If you want to get the breakdown for OG!Tesilid's life, just swap Pt 5 so that he spends between 4667 to 9999 years before Voice picks him up.

Voice does indeed say that if Tesilid finished 10,000 years in the abyss, he would've ascended to godhood. I guess Voice picked up the project and chucked Tesilid's soul into the reformed world/the tutorial era before he hit 10,000 years 🤔 Then I guess that either Tesilid already lost all his memories before then, or Voice wiped his memories before plugging him into the reformed world.

Strict Order is literally the worst planner ever 😭

Failed to budget his divinity when creating his auto-running money machine, ended up bankrupting himself so bad he nearly died

His fix-it plan was so bad that he would've just created a broken, vengeful god instead and left himself having to slowly hibernate to recover or wither away and die in the process. Assuming God!Tesilid doesn't try to kill him first. Fic idea where OG!Tesilid ascends to godhood and kills him

I have another question about the original novel,and I guess this applies to other manhwas as well.

When the female lead who has read the novel transmigrates into that world and the story begins from that point,does that mean the events of the original novel never actually happened? Or is she simply changing the future from that moment onward?

Also, what happens to the original Ailette’s soul? Is she still alive somewhere,or does her soul disappear after the transmigration?

I think it differs from story to story depending on the worldbuilding, but for this particular story all the events of the original novel did happen.

The TM gods have said or implied on multiple occasions that the Strict Order and Goodness was the one who created Tesilid's world and Tesilid himself originally, and then Voice was the one who basically re-dimensionalised the world and ported over the existing souls. Which means that Tesilid's soul is in fact the same continuous soul from back before Voice took over.

Agnes basically lays it out for us when she finally learns that Ailette is a transmigrator: it isn't that Tesilid's world is based on the original novel, but rather that the novel reflects the events of Tesilid's world. The original novel's Part 1 corresponded with when the Strict Order was active / when Tesilid has not yet saved the world, and Part 2 (after Tesilid saved the world but continued to regress) was Tesilid not being able to move forward in time because the Strict Order was hibernating.

"...the number of souls continues to grow, necessitating the introduction of new worlds to reincarnate the exponentially increasing numbers. Simply put, you can see it as an interdimensional soul migration policy of sorts" (--Side Story 9)

Near the end of S-Class Heroine's Part 1, Muriel reveals that the Strict Order's plan was for Tesilid to lose his memories over and over. The water from the Fountain of Life erases his memories, freeing him from the burdens of memories and experiences and enabling him to go through the loops again and again and again. Voice even says in the Side Story that Tesilid had in fact accumulated so much divinity over his loops that he is on the brink of ascending to godhood himself.

So Tesilid had already gone through the events of the original novel at least once. Muriel confirms that Tesilid has already lived through the first 10,000 years worth of the 1st save file. He just doesn't remember it because he as Reed was stuck in the abyss for so long drinking water from the Fountain of Life that his memory was wiped.

Tesilid in the original novel was in love with Muriel, but in the world with Ailette in it he isn't. Refer to Ch 208-209 of the novel. He has never thought Muriel in a romantic light before.

Tesilid from the current loop does remember Muriel. Refer to Ch 207 of the novel for the first time they meet in this round. He does not particularly like her.
