Gustave lives!AU where Mask Keeper finds Verso's yearning so hilarious that he decides to stir the pot just for the hell of it

Imagine this happened after Sirène. The gang is relieved they didn't have to worry getting charmed again. Then enter Mask Keeper personally charming Gustave and Gustave only. Monoco faintly trembles in an effort to not lose it while Verso is trying so hard to keep a neutral face.

"Do you think each Axon has their own method of charming the victim?" Lune wonders.

Unpaint me, Verso screams internally.

"It only has eyes for our Gustave, though," Sciel shrugs, "Has that ever happened? A Nevron smitten with a human?"

Unpaint me.

Later that night at camp after the Masks were destroyed, Gustave approaches Verso. His eyes are flitting everywhere, feet shuffling left and right as if keeping still would make him explode.

"You've lived in the Continent for a while," Gustave starts.

Verso knows where this is going. He considers jumping off the bluffs and have Esquie fetch him later.

"Have you ever... you know. De-stress with a Nevron? I don't mean in a fight, I mean you know," Gustave gesticulates wildly, his mouth opening and closing as he fails to phrase what he wants to say. He sighs. "It's just that what happened earlier I- Um... Is it weird if I say I like it?"
