What headcanons do you have about characters or plot developments?

Something about Cedric and Jonathan, something about the Metamur royals?

At least, if we talk about the past, Ludmoore just walked and picked up a talking snake?

And the classic question, heh; Do you have equal preferences for comics and cartoons, or do you belong to only one fandom camp?

Hi, and thanks for asking! Starting with the last question: I definitely prefer TV series over comics, since the adaptation focuses more on Metamoor lore while making it seem a bit more logical and has an overall better story pacing. Still, the comic books sometimes introduce great stuff, such as Arc 4 plot, bits of Escanors' backstory, and, of course, Jonathan Ludmoore. That's because when I'm messing around with HCs, I prefer to mix the best parts of series and source material together and hope that such amalgamation somehow makes sense. Generally, it's the fanon take on Metamoor politics, lore, and antagonists' backstories that I like to see the most (and, of course, the fans doing Disney's job by fixing plot holes).

My HCs are also focused on 'what-if' backstory variation, including Jonathan's and Cedric's early (mis)adventures, Weira's rule, human vs. non-human political tensions, Kandrakar's involvement in the situation, and the reason why Cedric is the only snake shifter we canonically know of. Please don't mind me offering so little details for now - I would really like to introduce all of this in a small comic. That's too ambitious rn, since job and university are taking too much of my time, but someday I'll hopefully be able to finish the whole thing 👀

✍️Do you have any clues because what classic plots from literature can work with the characters, within canon or outside of canon?

✍️In your opinion, is there a character (perhaps a favorite) that a character from another fandom is somehow (appearance, character, story) similar to? Kindred spirits, so to speak.

So, answering the first question without turning it into a three-hour monologue is kinda tough! Generally, I'm drawn to characters on the darker side of things, villains or the morally ambiguous ones. What matters to me (can we still call it "pro-s"?) is how well their character develops, how much potential is there, and if their powers make sense considering the rules of the fantasy world they're in. Even if the franchise we're talking about tends to simplify things into a "black vs. white" moral world and occasionally breaks its own magical rules, I still see my favorites—Cedric, Phobos, Nerissa, and Ludmoore—as antagonists with their own motivations challenging the Oracles' somewhat hypocritical rule over the universe. (By the way, I'll never forgive reboot writers for actually turning the Oracles into villains and then handling it the worst way possible!) Now, the canon might be a bit too Disney to dive into morally ambiguous themes (the "cons" universal for all characters), but that's what fanon is for, right?

Now, when it comes to tropes, I'm all about those "struggle against fate" plots, especially when vengeance ends up hurting both sides. Phobos and Cedric are perfect for political drama and throne-race scenarios, not to mention the doomed, mostly one-sided relationship tropes. Nerissa's character goes beautifully with repressed grief and regret (there was this incredible fanfic covering exactly that, and MY biggest regret is not saving it before it vanished into the internet abyss). Ludmoore? Well, he's my go-to for the scientist/mage dabbling in forbidden arts and gradually losing their humanity.

And onto the last question: I don't usually compare characters across universes, but Phobos and Cedric have some striking look-alikes all across different media thanks to their conventionally attractive designs (the comparison list would go on forever). Nerissa, especially in the TV series, is an absolute queen and one of the best female antagonists I've ever seen, so no comparisons there, haha! Now, Ludmoore... as much as I adore him, the man is essentially King Jareth from "The Labyrinth". Not that I'm complaining, but the authors couldn't be more obvious with their inspiration.

I rewrote the fanfiction plot and Phobos is now a rat🐁. It suits him very well. I started studying the graphics tablet and here, the first art that I made, even with the simplest brush, on one layer, but quite complete. I was able to save it!☘️

In my fanfiction, Elyon cast a spell on Phobos. And once outside of Meridian, the spell was reflected and she became a dwarf rat. Cutie ~

I drew this in an old sketchbook that I took with me on vacation. The sketches in it are thought of as a concept, but there are portraits in it that I did not intend to redo. Maybe I'll show.

The girl with whom Elias Van Dahl was in love, while on the run from Phobos, lived 300 years ago.

She is one of the ancestors of Cornelia, for example. Or Irma (maybe yes, maybe not).

Just imagine, those people whom Elias met, they no longer exist, but there are their descendants. Not surprisingly, he chose to become one with the painting (in the comics).

In the cartoon, he was not on Earth, he was not in love, Phobos immediately punished him by imprisoning him in a picture.
