Hope had the evening to herself â Millie was with her dad, and they werenât expected back on set for another week, though of course the producers had business to do even before the first readthrough. So this night was all she had, as far as she was concerned, to just relax. She walked her heels into the bar, probably imagining the eyes on her to feed her ego, but it did the trick. She had started to sit somewhere else, but when she saw Briar take her spot at the bar, Hope couldnât help but go steal the empty seat next to her friend and let her see how long it took her to notice she was there. When she moved her bag for her, not even taking a glance, Hope cocked a brow and frowned. âOh, is this how you greet me after a hiatus? Cutting ties early, I see,â she teased before ordering her own vodka soda. âDonât want to feel too attached when weâre no longer colleagues in a seasonâs time.â Hope pouted, teasing Briar.Â
Briar turned back around when she recognized the voice speaking to her. âI could never.â She threw her arms around Hope, pulling her in for a hug. âDamn. I did not realize how much I missed you until this exact moment,â She laughed, releasing her from the hug. âDonât remind me.â She grabbed her drink and took a swig of it, the reminder that Breakthrough was ending was certainly not a pleasant one. âWe donât get to think about the show ending until the last episode has aired. After that we can take our vacations and our sabbaticals,â She joked. She knew Hope well enough to know that this final season was going to have a stick up both their asses even more than usual, and Briar was just preparing for the amount of money she was going to have to throw at a masseuse at the end of the season. âHow have you been? Howâs Millie?âÂ
