it’s been crazy recently, sorry i haven’t done much. i’m thinking about transferring this account into an instagram as i recently cleared up one of my old accounts lol. 

it’s kinda getting to my head posting all these travel pictures when i haven’t left the house in so long. things do be kinda crazy doe.

today i’m just thinking about the gingerbread cookies that i had everytime i ordered tea in amsterdam. every single time they brought out cookies with your hot drink. i miss europe. i wish america did that.

first place on my list to go to as soon as this is all over is: my grandparents, manhattan, europe. in that order. lol.

this was taken when we were cruising somewhere on the outskirts of stockholm sometime around sunset. i’m convinced stockholm is my absolute favorite city in europe and i’m in l o v e with it.

cinnamon buns and hot chocolate are probably not the best thing to have in summer heat but it wasn’t actually too hot that day! we had an afternoon tea on the outside patio of a cafe on gamla stan, the oldest part of the city. it was by far my favorite part of the tour we were on, but the entire city is so charming and i would for sure love to return at some point. we didn’t get to see nearly as much as we wanted but we decided to just walk around the city and take it all in, which i really enjoyed and preferred. before we ran back onto the ship (literally lmao) we got some ice cream (gelato for me!) i love love love this city and i cannot wait to go back sometime. 

i hope you are all doing well and staying safe while practicing social distancing! stay motivated, we’ll get through this :)

holyyyy wow guys. it’s been crazy the last couple of days. just wanted to do a lil check in with you all and give you some insight on my situation. 

as of today i have been home for an entire month (since march 11th) and i’ve started to go crazy not gonna lie. i have lots of schoolwork to keep me busy but other than that it’s been weird.

i started and finished the first season of love is blind earlier this week, and it was not what i expected it to be. still funny as heck though. 

uhh i’m planning on reading and re-reading some of my favorite books that i have on me and i’m going to start using audible to keep my eyes off the screen whenever i can. 

sorry i’ve been quieter this week but i’m going to do updates if not daily then every other day. 

tomorrow i will most likely post a picture as well as a review, so watch out for that! it brings me so much joy to have a platform to reveal all of this to and know that people out there appreciate what they’re looking at on the screen.

today i realized just how much i love spending holidays outside of home. christmas in toronto was my first genuine experience of the holiday season outside of new york.

one of my favorite things we did during the long weekend we were there was go to the christmas market. the location and decorations were beautiful and you could tell that everyone was having a great time with their loved ones.

i remember we each got cups of coffee and just kinda walked around the whole market, to take everything in. it started snowing very lightly at one point and i felt like i was in some sort of dreamland, everything felt perfect.

i’d been to toronto once before that and i went again for a short trip earlier this year to visit the university of toronto’s downtown campus. even in the middle of winter, the entire city still looks like a dream.

regardless, nothing can beat christmas in new york and i am still so lucky to call this place home.

this was taken in chelsea but the view is actually of jersey city lol. i was on the balcony of the venue of this party i was at, but this sunset was truly the best part of the night.

earlier that day i had an amazing meal on the upper east side at this wonderful persian place called Persepolis (like the book!) i had a beef stew sort of thing with pomegranates and it was one of the best meals i’ve had in manhattan. 

it was a wonderful saturday overall. it was the beginning of fall but we still felt the summer heat even at the end of september (because of course.) we took a wonderful walk along park ave around noon as there were morning festivities in the upper east side. i think we had plans to get insomnia cookies for dessert after lunch but we never got to because we had to drive home to our borough to change before heading back into the city for the party. it’s painful crossing the same bridge four times in one day. 

still really want those insomnia cookies though.

the first picture that shall grace this tumblr page was taken december 20th, 2019 at about 18:00. 

i had been dreaming about visiting this city since i was a little girl (i did watch ratatouille as a kid you know) and we were able to convince my parents to come here for winter break to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. 

i fell in love with paris instantly, from the moment my feet got off the plane. 

we got stuck in traffic driving from CDG to where we were staying in montparnasse and i remember looking out of the window for the entire drive. 

when we reached the top of the tower, i felt nothing but pure ecstasy. i was living out a childhood dream.

this was taken on my iphone, as basically all of the pictures i post will be. most will also be unedited, because i wanted to capture the true glory of whatever is in the picture.

hellooooo beautiful people!! i want to start off by saying a massive thank you to anybody who has clicked on this page. this is my little get-away from life as i reminisce and simultaneously try to help people navigate the world by giving them some of my favorite recommendations and places to see. 

it’s a really scary time right now, and i have wanted to do this for a very long time. it took a global pandemic and borders closing for me to fully realize just how much i love our beautiful planet and how much we have done and achieved. at the same time, i realize just how much bad stuff is going on and what we really do not see as often. 

the goal of this blog is to showcase the underlying beauty of cities all around the world and show off some magical gems that have made some experiences go from great to fantastic.

i wanna shout out my family for a) letting me be able to take these photos and make these precious experiences for myself. thanks for taking us (my brother and i) along for the ride. b) thank you guys for all you have been able to give my brother and i, not just these trips, but a good stable life with lots of memories to share and laugh about in the future. 

i will be trying to post one picture or text post from and/or about my travels every day. i will also have an asks box open where i would love to hear any experiences you guys have had or are planning on having! i am always happy to give any recommendations and any insight into places i have been to before. even better, if you have been someplace i have not, i would LOVE to learn more about it so please do not hesitate to ask or tell me anything by using the ask box! my dm box will remain open as well if it is a longer piece and you are welcome to go on anon if you wish :)
