âHonestly so glad you werenât busy, and agreed to lunch. Iâve been in this place where all I want to do is watch the Originals and do nothing.â Deanna chuckled softly, looking down at her plate. Things had been weird since having to move again. She was just glad to get out of her apartment for something other than work.Â
âHey, Iâm glad you asked. Iâm always down to get some lunch, or to do anything really.â Bridgit laughed before continuing. âI had such a long day with classes and work that I just needed some time off, you know? Anyway, whatâs going on with you right now? Meet anyone interesting lately?â The blonde quizzed, knowing the girl was still relatively new in town. Waiting for Deannaâs response, Bridgit took a sip of her coffee. The coffee which she knew that in a few hours she would regret getting; knowing all too well there was no way sheâd be getting any sleep after this. Still, she sipped on whilst staring quizzically at the girl across the table.

âMiamiâs a bit far donât you think? Iâve only been there once for a dance competition.â Juliet recalled. Her experience was ruined by some of the girls on the team who decided to pull a prank on her before her solo performance. She lost and was blamed for ruining the teamâs chances at winning regionals. She could feel tears welling up in her eyes but quickly blinked them away. âSounds good. Iâll start packing. What day and time are we leaving? Are we gonna fly? Wait how much are airplane tickets nowadays?â She questioned. Juliet took several deep breaths felling herself worry over all the things that came into play.Â
âOh donât worry, Iâve got the tickets covered. A friend owes me a favor and Iâve already cashed it in; just been waiting to tell them the destination.â Bridgit shrugged off the question, not wanting to explain the time she had to fly back to Colorado and bail her ex-husband out of jail for something she hadnât even bothered to ask about. âYou just pack up your stuff and Iâll give you all the details as soon as Iâve got them, okay? Weâre gonna have a blast! Donât worry about a thing,â the blonde added, seeing the panic arise in Julietâs face.

âi would love nothing more than to disappear from this place for a weekend, but i sadly cannot. i have no one to leave my shop with on such short notice and, apparently, everyone feels just so lovey-fucking-dovey on sundays. lots of flower sales for me, but jeez.â minji mused with a roll of her eyes. âiâm sorry. you know i would without question. i donât even care where iâd be dragged to. but i canât this time.â a small pout formed across her lips because, honestly, she would do anything to leave this place. âanyone else you convince to go?â
Bridgit sent the girl a forgiving smile, âalright, fine. At least you gave me a legitimate excuse. But Iâm taking this as a raincheck, so later on we will actually make plans to go on a trip somewhere, deal?â She cocked her head to the side as she waited for a response from Minji. âYeah, I think I was able to convince Juliet, but everybody else gave me the same response as you: âyou know Iâd love to, but I just canât this weekend.ââ She smiled and jokingly rolled her eyes before continuing, âbut I get it. People have jobs and responsibilities and just because I can take a weekend off doesnât mean everybody else can too.â

milo would probably jump at the opportunity the girl was offering, easily, if she were asking a year or two earlier. it wasnât like him now, to be doing such things, though heâd always wanted to. a sigh left past his lips as he gave a shrug of his shoulders. âi honestly wish i could.â he offered, sounding disappointed himself. âi truly do. but you know i canâtâ hâed probably blame it on work, but anyone who knew the boy well enough knew he didnât care much about his job as he made it seem. âwhere are you even planning on going? across the country isnât exactly close to home.â he chuckled out with a shake of his head.Â
Bridgitâs shoulders slumped as she sent Milo a pouty face. She hated being told no, but even more so when she was so excited for something. âI donât even know where I want to go. See, this is why I need someone to go with me. Iâm helpless on my own, Milo.â She thought that maybe she could guilt him into coming along with her. Thinking, who could possibly let a girl like herself go on a trip all alone? Surely not her friend Milo. âWhat if I got stranded somewhere? Iâd have to become a hitchhiker or something just to get back home. You wouldnât let that happen, would you?â

âi just - i donât knowâ. eleanor breathed out, hands folding in front of her. her softened brown eyes peered over her lashes, studying the blonde before her, watching the contagious shine of her smile. she looked excited - eleanor could tell that she felt everthing with her heart and soul, making the brunette unable to crush it with a declining statement. she wasnât sure what she wanted from the offer. âwhat will we be doing? i need more information.âÂ
âOkay, well, the thing is... I donât know.â Bridgitâs voice softened for a moment, realizing that not having any actual plan would make it that much harder to convince Eleanor to go along with her. âI mean, like, I was thinking a beach, or maybe like New York or something?â The blonde scrambled to come up with something to convince her friend. âLike, is there somewhere youâve always wanted to go and you just havenât been for some reason? Cause we could totally do that. Either way, weâd have so much fun! Donât you wanna just get away for a couple days?â Regaining her excitement from before, the smile quickly returned to Bridgitâs face as she impatiently waited for Eleanor to give her the answer she wanted.

it wasnât that camden wasnât interested, but more or less that he had so many responsibilities right here in seattle. never mind the job, he could easily get away for the weekend, it was the process of seeing if anyone could take care of all the animals. he could ask his roommate, but he was always running in and out, he couldnât trust him to look after his precious babies. cam pursed his lips looking at the blonde, âi donât knowâŠâ he knew heâd need a bit more pursuing if cam was going to get on board with this idea, or just the practicality standpoint
âCome on, Cam. Itâs just three days! We could literally just fly out tonight and be right back in no time. Whenâs the last time you just up and went on an adventure, anyway?â The girl put her hands together, continuing to beg her friend. She had always deemed herself a workaholic, but the moment she met Camden she knew he was on another level. Bridgit knew it wasnât going to be easy to convince the boy to take off work, and especially to just up and leave his babies. âDonât you need a break? All work and no play makes Cam a dull boy, huh?â
julietsheaven:
âWhat about dance rehearsal and homework? My history teacher has me swamped with extra shit to do for my paper.â Juliet bit her lip weighing the pros and cons of the going on a trip for the weekend. âI mean I guess I can go as long as I have enough time to finish my work. Besides I donât need you doing something crazy to get yourself in trouble.â Juliet put her hands on her face and dragged them down letting a sigh blow past her lips. âFine Iâll go. Please tell me itâs somewhere with a beach that isnât 40 degrees in June?â
"Yay!" Bridgit exclaimed, jumping up and down and clapping. "I was thinking Miami Beach, maybe? It's supposed to be warm, but not too hot this weekend.â Bridgit hadnât even given any thought to homework assignments as she had already finished all of hers the night before the idea to go to Florida had come to mind. âI honestly donât know. I just need a short vacation before my summer classes really start to pick up.â The girl shrugged quickly before giving Juliet another big smile. âEither way, itâs gonna be so much fun!â
âLook, Iâm not saying itâs the best idea, but you canât tell me itâs the worst youâve ever heard either.â The girl said, trying her hardest to convince the person in front of her. âI mean come on, how many people here can honestly say they booked a spontaneous trip across the country for no reason?â If there was one thing Bridgit knew about herself, it was that she was the textbook definition of impulsive. She also knew she needed someone to go along with her on her wild adventures or sheâd get herself into an insurmountable amount of trouble. Bridgit looked over to her friend with pleading eyes. âPlease? Itâs just for the weekend.â

eliza: in search of a new cereal ... it's been a goooood few years w/ special k red berries, but it's time for us to go our separate ways.
eliza: SO, that being said ---- send your favorite blonde your slightly healthy cereal recommendations before i spontaneously combust on this thursday night in aisle nine.
bridgit: alright well it's not that different, but special k coconut cranberry almond cereal is my shit.
bridgit: but like if you want a cheat cereal, you gotta go with a classic like captain crunch or something
âto put it bluntly? your car is a piece of shit,â melissa explained as she lowered the latch beneath the hood to let it slam shut. âbut that doesnât mean i canât fix it.â truth be told, it wasnât the first time sheâd seen a vehicle in such poor condition ( and she was certain it wouldnât be the last ) but she still felt bad for the poor bastard who would be stuck footing the bill. even with a good olâ friendly discount, fixing a car was not cheap. âi just need to replace a few parts and itâll be good as new. or.. at least, as good as an old clunker like this can be without being totally rebuilt,â she added, flashing the unlucky owner a sympathetic smile as she patted the top of the car. âi need to order one of the parts, so it should take me a few days until i can get you back out on the road.â
Bridgit released a heavy sigh before responding. âWell, thank you for checking it out. But honestly, wouldnât I just be better off buying a new one?â As much as she didnât want to part with her car, which she had had since she turned 17, and had been in the family much longer than that, she knew the time would come one day. âOr, do you think maybe I could get a few thousand more miles out of it?âÂ
Letting an exhausted exhale escape her lips, Diana looked up at the person in front of her with an annoyed glare bright in her eyes. âYou know, when we agreed to workout together I didnât expect you to actually try to kill me.â Following an eye roll that couldnât help to be clearly seen by any person around, the short brunette turned around to grab her towel, wiping her face trying to let her breaths slowly even out again. Inhale. Exhale. Repeat. âI thought you said you were going to go hard on me, what was that all about?âÂ
"Oh, come on,â Bridgit laughed, âthis is me going easy on you.â The blonde shook her head at her friend before standing to stretch. âIf you canât handle this now, how are you going to react when I really start pushing you?â
