Im going to be annoying and talk about this because I need to get this out of me.
So this little guy, Kyrin, was going to the Aevium region with his mom a little nervous about finally getting his pokemon journey but he tried to stay positive.
Cut to a few hours later to him looking to the distance as he is the only survivor of an attack by team Xen, thinking that all those people including his mother were dead.
He goes completely mute and constantly keeps a frown on his face. He's very shy and mostly lets himself be pulled around by others as he is mostly acting on autopilot.
But as he meets more people (Melia, Ren and Venam), he slowly begins to open up, expressing himself more and joining in with a few gestures.
The first person he actually talks to is Melia when she tells him that she'll be leaving to become a gym leader, expressing that he's thankful ro have met her and the others.
Then everything happens and Melia dies.
Back then, Kyrin fell to shock, here? He snaps.
He becomes more jaded and mean, speaks way more and bluntly tells his thoughts even if they might hurt others. Super snarky and doesn't let himself get attached to anyone else in fear of losing more people.
He's basically gone from a wet cat to a feral stray cat, stuck in a permanent state of fight or fly mode ready for anyone to try and kill him because he knows it's going to happen, like a spring waiting to go off.
Then everything in Blacksteeple castle happens and he's... He's a whole different kind of mess.
He found out that everyone he thought was dead on the boat is alive, including his mom, and Melia suddenly appears to save them.
For a few minutes, it was the best day of his life.
And then his mother is stabbed right in front of him.
He understands that that's it. No more surprises.
He falls into an odd middle space of how he was before and now. He's quiet and moody, preferring to stay alone than with the others and only give short answers to anything.
His gaze is usually distant as he thinks about the ways his friends will be ripped away from him next.
In short, he's probably in the darkest spot of his time here.
Also the sudden change of looks is Mr. Lucks fault, transed his gender for free, and although it was really weird at the beginning he found he liked it more.
