“I think you could squeeze something else in there. If you really tried hard enough.” She said with a grin. “I’m going to find you someone, or a cute puppy. Whichever crosses my path first.”

Cam was surprised to feel her rest right against his chest but he kissed her head as his arms settled around her. “I’m glad you came over tonight.” He had missed seeing one of his best friends around. He knew he could be a prick but he didn’t think that he had been, when she went radio silent on him.
She pushed away any worries she had, and let herself relax into him. “I’m glad I did too. It was weird not talking to you all the time. I never should have let someone come between us. You’re like... my best friend.” Her arm was draped across his chest. She felt comfortable and safe with him.

Cam felt her fingers brush his and it was like an electric shock for a moment, as his eyes met hers. He gave her a smile before she was gone. Cam changed into just pj bottoms as he laid on his bed when she came out he patted the empty spot next to him. “Come cuddle why don’t you?”
Her head screamed at her not to lay down next to him, that if she did she’d get to comfortable. Her heart on the other hand wanted nothing more than to feel his arms wrapped around her, keeping her safe. After a second of debating between her head and her heart Miranda went to the spot he was patting. Her head rested on his chest, and butterflies came to life in her stomach.

“Alright come on then.” Cam was going to look out for her tonight, as he led her to his room, he grabbed some of his pj pants and a shirt of his. “Why don’t you get comfy.” He offered her his things, it was a silent offer, figuring that maybe she’d enjoy the smell of him around her, and the fact he hoped that would make her feel a bit more safe tonight.
Miranda nodded and reached for the clothes he offered. Her fingers brushed his and she let them linger a little too long before she disparaged into his bathroom to change. She looked at herself in his mirror, make-up was smeared on her face. She sighed as she tried to wipe as much as it off as possible without revealing the faint bruise. Quickly, she changed into his clothes and they made her feel a bit more relaxed. She glanced back at herself one more time before shutting off the bathroom light and walking back into his bedroom.
Anya stepped out into the alleyway behind the cafe, getting a breath of fresh air before heading back inside to finish closing up the shop for the night. She didn’t mind closing up, there was something peaceful about being the last one there that she liked. She didn’t look up as she heard footsteps approaching, “Can I help you with something?”
“Hey, sorry. I know you’re about to close, but I was hoping there was a bit of coffee left?” Miranda asked with a hopeful smile.

Ivy headed out the door and down the street towards Miranda’s house, swinging the bag of food slightly as she walked, “Do you have any thoughts on what you want to watch?”
“Mhm, maybe an older movie or we could beige watch something like Friends for the millionth time.” Miranda said with a small laugh.

Juniper smiled, “I’ve been very well actually, and you?”
“I’ve been good.” Miranda nodded. “Nothing too crazy has been happening lately.”

The Rosza saved his work and put the laptop away, removing the potential risk of him knocking it over and shorting out his computer. “Hello Miranda,” Phoenix mumbled before taking a sip. “Thank you for the coffee. And unlike my order, it’s sweet that you know my order.”
“You’re welcome.” Miranda said as she took a sip of her own coffee. “I was hoping I got it right.”

“I am not.” Eirik sighed, but knew arguing it was futile. “I was paying attention, just… not to the guys apparently.” He laughed, shaking his head a few times. “I would’ve swore they were checking out Robin though, and not me.” He stated. “I haven’t been ‘on the market’ since high school. I thought people would’ve just forgotten about me.” He joked with a soft laugh.
“In your defense you were probably thinking about a certain blonde.” Miranda teased. “What do you mean you haven’t ‘been on the market’ since high school?”

“Ah yes, you can catch up with my boring life during our walk.”
Come on, your life can’t be that boring.” Miranda said with a small laugh as she walked out of their house. “We need to get you a girlfriend, or a puppy.” She teased.

When she told him she just wasn’t happy anymore a frown played over his lips. He wanted her to be happy she deserved it. “So then end things. I’ll be here to protect you if you need a place to just feel safe okay? I’ll give the guy a nasty headache.” Cam told her as he rubbed her back and looked down at her. “Why don’t you stay tonight? We can distract you I don’t know come up with something for us to do watch a movie or something.” Cam didn’t want her leaving in this state no, he needed to see her perked up before he ever let her go.
Miranda nodded. “I know you will be. You’ve always been my safe place.” It was these moments when Cam could be so sweet even after she ignored him for so long, that made her wish things were different. She had wanted to find the perfect love so badly that she had been naive when she started dating. “I’d like that, a lot.” She gave him a small smile, knowing she had come to the right place.

Knowing that someone was there, based on the scent he guessed it was Miranda, Phoenix looked up, confirming his guess. “I’ve been told that saying hi is the polite thing to do when trying to get someone’s attention,” He mumbled, his eyes retreating back to his screen. “But what do I know about social etiquette?”
“You seemed a little too focused on whatever is on that screen. Thought the sent of some coffee would get your attention.” She smiled. “Hi, Phoenix.”

Eirik sighed as she pressed. He quickly racked his brain, trying to think of a story that would qualify as embarrassing to her and would satisfy her demand. “Oh, I was hanging around the other day and ran into, what’s her name…Robin Hildegard. Apparently I am oblivious when it comes to people staring, flirting, or any form of giving attention to me. There was a guy paying very close attention to me and I couldn’t have been more blind to it.” He chuckled softly.
“You poor, sweet, innocent thing.” Miranda said with a small laugh. “You should really pay more attention to your surroundings.”

Ivy smiled and gathered the bags of food, “I can’t wait to eat all of this.”
“Let’s hurry home then.” Miranda said with an excited grin.

She smiled at the other girl, she didn’t mind her company, and she had been trying to make more of an effort with her lately. “I don’t mind at all. Join away.”
“Thanks.” Miranda gave a small smile as she sat down. “Haven’t seen you much lately. How have you been?”

“Hm, I’m sure juggling both work and Camden is tough for you to do,” Bentley mused, laughing lightly. “It’s a nice day, why don’t we walk? Unless you want to drive.”
“It is very tough.” She said in a joking tone. “Let’s walk. You know I’ve always enjoyed a nice day out. It’ll give us a little more time to catch up as well.”

“if i really wanted him i’d be over there with him right now and not with you. but spill, who is the lucky boy or girl.”
“Hm, well maybe if we at least act interested he’ll buy us a drink.” Miranda said with a small smirk. “Camden. We’ve been dating for a little less than a year now. I’m surprised you haven’t heard talk around town.”
