On some passing moments he felt that angry chafe thaw a little bit inside him and mold into something else, but just as blazing. It felt easy to mirror her, it felt like an easy passage into their slow, delicate connection that he had learned to value. It was synergistic, like they slipped together into a vacuum where neither of them were people, just minds with questions. Their identities, differences and weaknesses faded away, when they chewed over their killer and his motifs. It didn’t differ a lot from basic investigation work he did with Marty, maybe they weren’t able to form a timeline or interrogate folks but they were however collecting evidence and drawing red strings across their clues, and every time there surfaced a new thought that helped them to rough out more of the case’s ecology, Rust felt alive.
In January '95 Detective Rustin Cohle meets Winifred Sellick, a theology student called in to give out an assisting dictum in the latest "ritual occult murder" case for the Louisiana State CID. Through the years they end up colliding over and over and over again and turning each other's hunger and haunt inside out. Will they learn to accept that time is not one, but two flat circles interlacing?

Aaand we’re finally getting to the good stuff, such as a variety of developing feelings of some depraved yearning from both ends (but they probably just think it's a symptom for some mysterious disease >:–) Gosh, they're in their heads so much that you'd think it's nice in there!)
