My stance on Alan James is a very complicated one-

In the picture he is shown curled up in an almost childish position. It's to show how inexperienced he is and how out of place he is. Unfortunately I couldn't find the quote, during the piece but I could've sworn they talked about how average most of the "soldiers" for Disrupt are. And who was supposed to properly train them? And who made sure they ate enough food so that they can fight with the best ability.

It's no wonder so many people lost their lives and I have no doubt Alan feels guilty for them. Hell, he calls them friends in path c.

Speaking of, the other half of the piece shows a more animalistic Alan. I wanted to have him in essence shooting his old self. The grifter that still only cared for his own life. Because now his life meant only the best for the cause. If he became the terrorist they believed him to be, they'll listen.
