Thoughts on Tower of Dawn
Tbh i dont think chaol needed a whole novella
Still on the fence about the relationships in this book
I honestly did not care about most of the khagganâs children
I liked the world-building of the Southern Continent
The whole redemption arc of chaol was okay i mean i still dont like him as much as i did but at least now we get some closure and insight on his perspective of his actions
I thought nesrynâs singing thing was just kinda extra
Yrene taking shots at chaolâs manhood issues was by far my favorite part
What annoyed me to no end was how long it takes chaol and yrene to figure out how celaena crossed paths with yrene in Innish
I pictured the ruks as big chickens and i know thatâs just wrong but thatâs how i was imagining them
The spidersilk merchant from assassinâs blade is now lysandraâs uncle and a shapeshifter
Hasar being a possessive bitch about everything
Maeve being a valg queenâŠwtf
The healers being an actual cult
Self defense lessons with yrene ft. Chaol on a horse
Nesryn being chill about the fact that chaol spent half the book cheating on her
I was not expecting yrene westfall to happen
The fireheart chapter broke my heart
Overall i love sjmaas and her writing and tower of dawn was a nice way to introduce the southern continent
It was also a nice break from the aelin and the war against evil story
