We were on a roadtrip from west Ontario to Cape Cod for a weeks frolicking by the sea. Other than a visit to NYC I hadn’t laid foot in America proper, i hadn’t really experienced the land itself. I’ve seen the upper east side at least now and i was surprised to be honest. Infrastructure overall looks tattered, roads and side-walks all seemed badly built and badly maintained. Towns too in this region seemed dishevelled and cluttered with electrical infrastructure and signage.

But get off the interstates and into the country proper and it was all quite sweet. very different to england, everyone in the country seems to have their own little farm rather than been big argicultural estates dating back centuries. Instead everyone has carved out a small slice of land and is equiped with varying amounts of barns, silos and tractors. Some properties flash and pretty, others screaming examples of everyone red neck sterotype I’ve seen in the popular medias
