Aidan just got home from a gig and walked into the kitchen, seeing Alfie stuffing his face. âNat cook again?â He joked, opening up the fridge to grab some leftovers. âYeah, Nat cooked.. I can tell.â The leftovers looked authentic to the leftovers his Grandma gave him. âA British guy eating Puerto Rican food. Really embracing the culture, arenât you? One bite at a time.â They were colliding cultures in Australia. Aidan popped the leftovers in the microwave, letting it cook for a minute. In the meantime, he pulled out his tips from the night. âHere..â He set down a wad of cash in front of Alfie. âGo and get Nat something nice, eh? Least I can do.âÂ
âHa, yeah she did!â Nat was definitely a superior cook in Alfieâs mind - much better then himself. âI donât know what it is she puts in this stuff, but itâs bloody good.â Alfie replied, swallowing the last bite of the leftovers Natalia had made the night before. The gesture of money from his brother in law was a surprise. âOh come on mate, itâs no biggy, you donât have to...â It was there, he got an idea. âHow âbout we both go look for something for her? Give her a surprise to cheer her up? Iâd like to think we probably know her better then a lot of people.. Shouldnât be too hard, eh? Whatdâyah say?â
