Inktober 2017 Days 26, 27, and 28! This moment was...kinda embarrassing. Luckily the teacher wasn't actually upset with me and I was able to give the correct example after we all had a good laugh. I still apologized afterwards...because the sad thing was that I had done the activity correctly in the two previous classes. I dunno what happened haha Translations for Pg. 1: "this is nearby blah blah that is far away blahblah" Pg. 3: "That's not right Britney- teacher!!" "Ex...excuse me..."

Inktober 2017 Days 23, 24, and 25! This was something that happened last week that stood out to me. In case anyone is unaware of what natto is, it's a sticky, fermented soybean that Japanese people tend to eat pretty regularly but foreigners usually don't like. I'm no different, I can tolerate it at times but I'd rather not eat it if I don't have to. We don't have it too often for school lunch but sometimes it springs up and I have to decide if I wanna be an adult and choke it down, or in this case where I shamefully watch all the 13 year old kids eating it and just side-eye it the whole lunch period haha (Translations for pg. 1 bottom: "Ah! Britney-teacher!" Pg. 2: "Do you eat natto?" "I-I don't really want to eat it..." "hahaha" Pg. 3: "Britney-teacher!" "Natto...ummm..." "Ahahaha")

Inktober 2017 Days 20, 21, and 22. I had a really bad episode last week as well as catching a cold, and I got the point where I convinced myself I wouldn't be able to finish Inktober. But you know what? I never finish anything. So, to wrap up the month, I'm doing simple compilation style drawings of some random occurrences at my Junior high school that I work at in Japan. They're just quick sketches so I should be able to churn out enough to catch up on my missing days. (Translations of Japanese on pg 2: "who~?" "Ehh...who?" "Really?" "Howl!" "Don't understand~" "Howl...?" Bottom "Ehhhh---" "It's Howl!" "I see" Pg. 3: "Ehh~ That Howl is really cool-looking!" "Haha" (イケメン-ikemen is like more of a slang for a really hot or cool looking guy, hence why I felt flattered haha)

Inktober 2017 Day 19 So I know I'm doing more Sailor Moon than anything, but in my defense this isn't from the anime or manga. Sailor Luna is a character from the live action tv series which I highly recommend to everyone if you haven't seen it yet. It's so loveably cheesy!

Inktober 2017 Days 16 & 17 I drew something last night but I didn't like it so I did two simple ones tonight. Naru (or Molly if you're a dub person) is the cutest. I love her. And Masha is also cute...one of the cuter mahou chibi sidekick characters 💕

Inktober 2017 Day 14 I just love this little psychopath. Her character design is just so great! Someday I want to cosplay her! Can you imagine the wig?! Seriously!

Inktober 2017 Day 13 Sorry, today's drawing isn't particularly good or interesting. I'm feeling a little under the weather. This is the magical wand symbol for my magical girl introspective show that I do with my friend on YouTube. It's called MahouShowGirls. Check us out if you have the chance!

Inktober 2017 Day 12 Who remembers Bee and Puppycat? I backed this on Kickstarter because it was exactly my aesthetic but after the episodes actually came out I didn't see anyone talking about it anymore. I rewatched them all while drawing this, and I still love the colors and art style. Wish they were able to make more episodes...

Inktober 2017 Day 9 Taking a break from the mainstream mahous with Undine, a character from one of my favorite magical girl webcomics, Sleepless Domain. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it. The artist, Mary Cagle, also did the comic Let's Speak English, which is also really great and was one of my inspirations to come to Japan!

Inktober 2017 #7 and 8 Today was a long day and I worked on these while dealing with some frustrating problems and it kind of distracted me a bit. Simple ones for catch up. Sally the Witch, one of the original magical girls. And a quick Chibi Moon Twinkle Bell. Hopefully tomorrow will go better :)

Inktober 2017 Day 5 Can this be counted as magical girl? Meh, whatever. I wanted to draw Ichimatsu dressed as Sailor Saturn…so I did 💜 I wish I had someone to gush with about Osomatsu-san season two!! I’m so excited!!
