I really like Sam and I get that her being a menace to her producer was kind of a funny joke at the beginning but honestly especially in this follow up and how we've always seen her be SO kind it's just... weird? like i love Sam's she's my favourite character, but Jamie has a point that the way she acts towards the staff of her show is weirdly very inconsiderate. Like making last minute changes and asking for unreasonable things doesn't feel very in line with her other characterization of making everyone around her feel special and heard.....??
i mean, she doesn't have to be an angel at all times and deserves to be selfish now and again but in her workplace seems like an odd choice where it's people who allow her to be as successful as she is being run off their feet trying to please her. it's interesting that it's coming up again in this context of the final episode. guess we'll see how it goes!
I hear you, but that wasn't the real Jamie. Aabria made a point of saying how at the end, when Sam got back to the Britain's Got Magic set IRL, the real Jamie was thrilled to see her and pitch her a whole bunch of weird new segments. It’s a biological fact that fish do indeed change their sex to keep the male/female ratio balanced in their school population. So this fluidity actually makes more sense from a scientific standpoint than the silly idea that merfolk are born with a strictly assigned sex like humans.
