I've always been prideful of my emotional intelligence but what happens when the person everyone turns to for help needs it themselves? Throughout life I've always taken it upon myself to be my loved ones hero, but it's so ironic when the tables are turned that those same people, who you swear know you best, seem not to know you at all. When you physically, mentally, and emotionally can feel and sense a shift in yourself but even the person you sleep next to every night doesn't come across it at all. Man ain't that some shit lol. Being that person who wants to share as much love and joy into the world as possible; how long can you last without receiving it in return? Obviously you shouldn't do good to reap the reward, but just a moment of love back even from a random stranger seems all too good to be true. People are so focused on what is good for themselves they forget to be kind or good to others though they expect and hope for that treatment regardless. The irony of what our everyday lives are is sad.

A label I've heard one too many times.. Some may say I'm in denial.. Others will blame it on age.. You ask me? I'd tell you I'm just silencing my thoughts. Do I have cravings? Have that itch that never fades? Nooooo... What I do have is a curse of an overworking mind. No I'm not running away from my fears, but simply wiping them away. My biggest enemy always seems to be myself. And I'm just conquering myself for just a few hours, giving myself temporary moments of pure sanity in a perfectly insane world.

Stop searching for someone willing to buy you the world, and be with someone who shows you the beauty of the world you live in. It's the little things you seemed to forget, the smallest of details you've overlooked. Anyone can walk into a store and spoil you with materialistic items, but when the money runs dry, what are they to you? Can they seduce you with their intelligence? Entertain you with their own goofy humor? If not, you fell for a false sense of love. Don't lose focus on your own value and bettering one self. If materialistic things is what you want, get your own hustle on. Self motivation is a beautiful characteristic and once you get where you want to be, someone will fall in love with the beauty of your focus and world. Let them show you the beauty in the world you live in.
