"Give thanks with a grateful heart, give thanks, to the Holy one, give thanks, because a he's risen, Jesus Christ - His Son. And now, let the weak say I am strong, let the poor say I am rich because of what, The Lord has done, for us, GIVE THANKS" - Happy Thanksgiving Family
Because I think we all could use these reminders today. It’s so easy to jump on the comparison train + allow today’s circumstances break you down. Stand firm in the knowledge that This is how God sees you and you are beautiful, kind, loved, enough and you can do anything!! Praying this over all of you today. If you know someone who needs to see this be sure to repost or tag them. #beblessed

Oh wait - there's more
Ok, Ok, I know 2013 started in January, but I really feel that it started in November, since then, everything just snowballed to now. I look back over the last 12 months and I am in AWE all that has transpired in my world. I’ve done the unthinkable, I’ve traveled more this year than I had in the last 8 years combined, I’ve made huge advancements in my career, and most importantly, I’ve reclaimed my love for our Creator! Take a peak down memory lane with me…here is my Year in a Nutshell (so far)….
Adios 2012
This is a post I just moved over from my old blog…..I think it’s interesting to look back at where you were almost a year ago and see the strides you’ve made, or of yet to make in some cases….ENJOY!

We all know that change in inevitable and with change or growth comes sacrifice. ~ Britt’Nee Hunt, M.S.
Well I guess we can say, the countdown is official on. 2012 is hours away from being over. I have had a rocky 5 or so years leading up to this one. I think back to this time of year, and all I can remember is not being able to wait for a chance, my chance, at a new beginning. However complicated my life was, I had to be grateful for good health, family, and friends. There are so many out there less fortunate, and more grateful. Take a few minutes to let that marinate…..
When we were little, we learn extensively about Patience and Obedience. We often dismiss these thoughts, we think we’ve mastered them, but have we? I can speak for myself here, I thought I did. This “arrogance” is the exact reason why there was so much regression, and pain. We wish the present hurry up and pass only for to see ourselves fall back into the same patterns and untreated habits. Once I acknowledged my faults and accepted my shortcomings, all else began to fall in place.
I have read many post on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram today and say a mix of feelings of how this past year went for individuals. For me, 2012 was the year that my dreams came true!!! For the first time IN MY LIFE, I was able to say that I’m proud of myself! I’ve crossed many hurdles and milestones, some of which I’ve been told are unattainable. Previous years, I’ve had many backs turn, many doors shut prematurely, many doubters. These thoughts only made me question my value and my worth. Thankfully, I went back to those lessons about obedience, and prayed that the Lord help me learn the lessons of trust and patience, it’s ongoing, however, I stand here and I am VICTORIOUS!
As we prepare to enter into a New Year, I challenge each and every one of you to dig deep inside of yourself. What is it about yourself that you are willing to change in order to be a better you? How can you help those around you be a better them? 2013 is the start of New Beginnings, do something positive with this opportunity. New Beginnings are a blessing that isn’t promised….
I wish each of you a Happy, Safe, Prosperous end of 2012 and Beginning of 2013 !!!!!!!!!!

AGAPE
There is very little depth associated with the term “LOVE” anymore. The concept of love is a bit subjective; the word itself is overused and has become watered down. I’ve noticed lately however, that love has been a recurring theme trending heavily in my life. A minister from my church and my Bishop recently taught on the subject matter not too long ago. Each message got my undivided attention and has my wheels spinning.
It sounds so cliché but Rodney King said it best, “Can’t we all just get along”. How is it possible for us to claim we love an unseen God so much yet hate our neighbors, coworkers, and “frienemies”? It’s a bit of an oxymoron so to speak. It’s easy to pick out the bad in others because we are dealing with so much “bad” found within ourselves. None of us are perfect, however, we are all individually chosen, handcrafted, children of God. In order to give, share, and receive love effectively, we have to be able to love ourselves first, even first before loving God. We are all made out of his image and likeness, which means, loving ourselves is an automatic love for our creator. We have to remember, God already mapped out our lives, from beginning to end. He already knows how our story ends!! He knew you were going to slip and fall when you did, he knew when you were going to make that mistake that you thought you may never bounce back from, he knew at a certain age you would be struggling with acne/weight gain/braces/(fill in the blank). For us to say that we hate a characteristic about ourselves really means we hate what/who God has created, and is showing that you do not trust that he will see you through it. There may be thinks about ourselves that we may not be too proud of or wish never happened to us. That’s natural and perfectly normal. Instead of hating yourself for your trails, learn to love yourself for overcoming them, or love on yourself because you are still standing! God brings us through valleys, He doesn’t take us to them. That means, he may feel meek and lonely right now, but there is a happy ending insight. These trials are going to be a blessing in a form of a testimony for someone (maybe even yourself) later. As my Bishop would say “Don’t be BITTER be BETTER”.
Agape is a Greek word, translated to English it means love. In Christianity is used to refer to the love of God, or the love that God had for all humanity. We need to commit ourselves to reciprocating this practice, with ourselves first. Once that is mastered, all others will fall in line. Love who you are, who you were, and who you are destined to be!!!
Give yourself a little credit - admire your true beauty inside and out!
Oh....and...P.S.....
I Love You!

Ice Breaker
I have to admit, Facebook inspired me to do this particular post. We really think we know people we are close to, until time passes and we discover something we never knew, or never thought to ask about a person and say “wait a minute…..WHAT?!?”. I got a kick out of reading some of my friends responses so I thought I’d stretch it out in my blog to break the ice, so here goes….
