UR ALIVE??
Lmao yes I am if only periodically
I wanted to draw something really soft....but I also can't seem to help myself.😛
what's your favorite part about writing parvill? (personally, i love the fact that you can write parvis's dialogue as flamboyantly gay as you want and still have it line up with his actual personality XD)
The best part about your comment about flamboyantly gay Parv is that it’s completely true! But as fun as writing his cheeky dialogue is, I’d have to say my favourite part about writing Parvill is getting deep into the psychology of both Will and Parv and exploring the true depth of their relationship. They both clearly have a LOT of issues, especially with letting themselves getting attached to other people, but I figure that when given enough time, they create a very intimate bond that even they don’t fully understand the depth of. They’re both scared of rejection and failure. It’s clear in the way they interact with one another. When Will realises how close he’s getting to Parv, he petrifies in a sense, throwing up a stony exterior to protect himself from what he views as a very dangerous thing for his heart to be doing. Parv, on the other hand, gets more chaotic when he gets scared. He hides behind casual flings, cheeky remarks, narcissism, and arrogance in an effort to either drive Will away or prove that Will loves him enough to see past his chaotic exterior. The trouble is neither of them realise that’s what they’re doing because they’ve been doing it for so long. It’s a common theme in literature actually. You see it everywhere. It’s known as the fear of the inevitability of isolation. They’re terrified of being alone while simultaneously convincing themselves that alone is what they’ll always be. So for me, the best part about writing Parvill is being able to slowly and gradually draw Will and Parv closer to the version of themselves that they keep so tightly locked away from even themselves, and finally properly letting each other in. My favourite part is the love. The true love. Not the fluffy or angsty kisses or the casual flirting, because while that’s fun and all, that’s not love. Love is when they sacrifice (not the blood magic kind ;P) for each other. When they serve each other. When they listen to each other. When they empathise. When they appreciate and affirm each other. In the great literature of all progressive societies, love is a verb. Love–the feeling–is a fruit of love, the verb. Many believe that we are not responsible for who or what we love, that we are a product of our feelings. But I don’t believe that is the reality. Love is something you do: the sacrifices you make, the giving of self, like when Will goes back day after day to help Parv even though he doesn’t like magic and he could be doing far more productive things with his time. Love is a value that is actualised through loving actions. Both Will and Parv practise love the verb. The sacrifices they make for each other may be forced and bitter at first, but it always softens into true, loving service. That is what I love most about writing Parvill. I love writing them as they do what it truly means to love someone, and then watching as the feeling of love grows between them and blooms into something irreplaceable and precious. That is my favourite part.
there are… actual tears in my eyes?? i absolutely did not expect that kind of response but i’m honestly so moved by it! i don’t think i realized the depth of emotion i had for this ship until right now :,)
I have a lot of emotion when it comes to these two, and I think about them a LOT so I tend to go very in depth when talking about them. There's so much sadness in this fandom too, and that kinda makes me want to treasure my headcanons for the legitimate and healthy relationship these two dumb nerds can have. :)

Cuba
Smoke curling, swirling, twirling past my lips Mixing with the scent of whiskey, gin, and vodka
Eyes close Nebulae dance Memories stir
A scorching sun so hot, the palms appear to sway Lazily lounging on the wafting wind, sugar and smoke sleep Golden waves cascade down into a pearly, milky valley
Laced with love, the waters gather Rushing in Whispering out Stealing my breath in wisps of steam
Raging fire Scorching tempest Singing earthquake All within the sigh of a man
A seed is planted, soon to sprout Bloom Blossom Bewitch my heart with the golden petals of sun But not now Not yet
Here we stand on the beaches, sandy and white The moon and the sea You and me Untainted by the golden stream of Time, our hands entwined Forever and the stars within our grasp
Bright Beautiful Breakable
With unwelcome musk, the whiskey appears in my hand The umber ocean diluted with the salt of my soul's river The moon, blackened and distant, sings no more Smoke and sunflowers, her only echoes
This time I do not weep

So I have this writing contest I’m entering for this writer’s conference I’m going to in a few weeks, and I’m only allowed to submit the first page of one of my works, so I decided to start that Parvill dragon AU I was talking about on my art blog. Sadly, it has to be freaking double spaced so I could only fit around 200 words in before I had to stop. But anyway, it’d be great if y'all could give me some feedback before I submit it.
“Why are we doing this, Will?”
“It’s the rules, Xephos.”
“The rules are foolish!”
Will opened his mouth to respond, but fell silent. He couldn’t disagree. It was the rules that had estranged him from his home, and it was the rules that had cast him out into the wilderness to hunt the dragon that was terrorizing the outskirts of his kingdom. But now was not the time to bemoan his exile. No, there was a much more important situation at hand. The dragon that he and Xephos had been tracking for six weeks was finally within their sights.
“Parvis,” Will breathed. Finally there was a figure to give to the name. Parvis was curled on a large flat rock near the edge of a pool, his black scales sparkling like obsidian in the noonday sun. Even while dozing he looked majestic and powerful. Will itched to touch him, to feel for himself the dragon’s powerful muscles and cold scales.
“Will.” Xephos’ voice snapped him out of his stupor. “Now’s our chance. Shoot him in the head and you can finally go home.” Will gripped his bow tighter, but couldn’t find the strength to lift his arm and fire an arrow. Parvis looked so peaceful, so beautiful that all ill intentions melted from Will’ mind. It seemed a shame to kill such a magnificent creature.
“Let me admire him first.” Despite Xephos’ frantic admonishing to the contrary, Will emerged silently from the shrubs where they had taken cover. He crept toward Parvis, stepping lightly over the fallen leaves as only elves can. Parvis gave no indication that he noticed or cared about Will other than a quiet exhale and a twitch of his tail.
It's okay! Don't worry, real life takes priority over goofing off on the Internet. We will wait patiently for rl to stop throwing crises your way.
Thank you so much~ I'm really grateful for your patience. :)
