Hello, I was the Broadway Karkat for the modern iteration of Broadwaystuck and I wanted to share some information that anyone who is currently/thinking about working with the group should consider.
I was sexually harassed by an ex-member, and when I brought it to the attention of the moderation team, it was immediately dismissed as "personal issue" and was told to simply block him. It wasn't until someone else spoke up for me that his removal was even considered, and even then, the current administration victim-blamed me.
I wanted it to be known that that group is being run by people who may vocally condone but privately maintain relationships with someone they know (and have been told by multiple people on different occasions) has a history of such behaviors. I know for a fact that least one of them still talks to this person. I think that anyone who does or wants to work with, pay, or promote this or any group should have all the necessary information available to them to make such a decision, and I make this post to urge you to consider whether or not you want to support them knowing this.
It's disheartening to have had to leave a group that was so dear to me, but I could not stay where I was not respected or protected.
