"To my children, whom I fear I won't ever meet. I look ahead in my own head and wonder if I'll be there to hold you and kiss you, tuck you in and sing you to sleep. If this letter is found, then I do fear it's true. I know you've been raised with love, and I'm so proud and happy. I can't begin to say, how much I love you, and I always will. -Love, Your mother. Yuri Egin."
He found the letter by chance, and it said on the outside who it was supposed to be for. He had moved away from where someone could find him and had read it as slowly and as calmly as possible, wondering what it was about. Once he finished it though he simply dropped it, took a step back, and sat on the ground.
How could anyone even be proud of someone like him? He was something terrible and disgusting and he certainly did not deserve to have someone feel proud of him like that. But this, this was his mother? He had no idea if this was real or not. He couldn't ask his father because he did not live in the church anymore.
Before he could help it tears began falling down the boys face and whimpers escaped him. The area he was in was illuminated faintly by blue light as the boy's control over his powers slipped again as the emotions inside him became to much.
Soon those quiet whimpers erupted into full, messy, loud sobs. He was not sure how long he cried, but he woke up the next morning laying there, the letter next to him and the fire gone. He looked at it again and shook his head, he was sure of one thing though.
No one could be proud of such a cowardly and disgusting creature.
