While we were playing CaH we were discussing things and these things involve the supersoldiers, falcon, and hill being all buddy-buddy.
They go out for coffee at least once a week and bond, idk.

[SMS: Steve Rogers] I didn't know who else to contact.
So I've been entertaining a Pokemon AU where James finds a crippled Cubone in a rainstorm and takes it in (Tony and Bruce give it a prosthetic arm and James helps her acclimate to it). Simultaneously Pokeshaming's been my fave thing.
So I gave Peggy the Cubone a thing.
"Don’t touch me."
River’s hand reeled back. The girl hadn’t even realised what she was doing. ”You wear pain like a cloak.” Her voice was barely above a murmur.
River didn’t know what do to - all he was doing was staring and she wasn’t sure what to make of it. So, a little bit of school yard manner came back. “Do you have a name?”
Again, something the asset was ill-prepared to react to. After a moment of tense silence, he allowed his eyes to drift away from the girl, settling somewhere on the ground. "I don't know anymore."

[ A hesitant glance is cast to the gleaming contours. ]

"Stop staring at me."
"I do apologize, Mr. Barnes," Loki grins. "I just find your metal arm fascinating."
James's gaze bored into his observer, a warning in and of itself. "How do you know that name?"

"Don’t think, I’m scared of some random guy."
"Get yer fists up."
"You should be."
"I'm not fighting you. This doesn't have to end in blood. Just leave the way you came."
The ex-soldier knew the type of man that this one was. Dangerous, deadly, and unafraid to kill to get what they wanted. And the pain in his leg was an unfriendly, extremely painful reminder to his days in Iraq. To see the man turn around was strange, let alone watch him kneel next to him. “What do you want…?”
[ His search was fulfilled in moments. From the compartment came a roll of bandages, an autoinjector, and a pack of gauze. The asset's victim was scrutinized briefly, then his hand was pulled up with cold metal to hold the gifts. Denial wasn't an option. ]
Be ready to walk when I get back.
[ With that, he was back on his way into the compound. ]
"This is my territory," Loki said simply, eyes narrowed as he took another threatening step forward. "So yes, it is my business."
"Then I'll leave," the asset growled. Something cold lit in his down-turned gaze. He was losing to the darker urge. The one before him was a threat, one he had no ties to. "Don't come any closer."
Steve wasn’t not going anywhere. If Bucky he left, he’d follow, but only a few steps behind, never on his tail and never catching up. He just wanted a chance to talk to him properly. A chance to help him. Their closeness in that moment, even when he was as far away as he was, made his chest ache.
“I just want to help you, James.”
This was wrong. All of this was so very, very wrong. Rebelling against orders which he didn't even have, against the institution which was his everything. The institution which he was. He was the fist of HYDRA, nothing more. He wasn't 'Bucky' or 'James' and he never would be... But he wanted to. He was afraid of the fact that he yearned for a name, for a title, for memories of him and those of his own.
"Why? What's the point of helping me?"
A hesitant step was ventured forwards.
Gonna run and shower, may or may not be back in time to do a couple more things.

I’ve seen people get mad that Steve doesn’t tell Sam that drawing makes him happy, but I’m thinking that losing Bucky made him lose his muse for drawing, you know? And I know there was that deleted scene in Avengers where Steve is drawing, but it wasn’t a full page, it was just a corner of a page, like he wasn’t sure if he wanted to continue it or just keep doodling over what he had already done.
Bucky was his muse.
Bucky was gone.
Steve’s didn’t want to draw anymore.
