Minki  was  at  school  when  she  two  officers  had  shown  up  to  the  classroom.  She  wasn't  sure  what  to  expect  from  them  but  she  did  know  it  had  been  to  severe  news  since  she  had  always  been  a  good  student.  

"  We're  sorry  to  tell  you  this  Ms.  Ji  but  your  brother  has  passed  "

It  felt  as  if  someone  had  jabbed  a  knife  into  her  heart  and  was  twisting  it  around.  Her  heart  sank  to  her  stomach  before  her  knees  followed  and  she  fell  to  the  ground.  She  couldn't  cry  though  ,  no  tears  could  come  out.  She  just  sat  there  in  shock  staring  wide  eyes  at  the  tiled  floor  underneath  her.

All  the  voices  began  to  become  white  noise  as  the  officers  the  words  began  setting  in.  The  one  who  had  raised  and  protect  her  since  their  mother  passed  was  gone.  Xe  wouldn't  be  there  anymore.  She  couldn't  argue  with  xem  or  tell  xem  about  her  day.  All  the  smiles  they  shared  would  no  longer  be.

From  that  day  forwared  Minki  went  from  the  bright  bubbly  girl  who  always  wanted  to  see  the  ones  she  loved  smile  to  the  girl  who  rarely  talked,  ate,  or  smile.  She  stopped  coming  to  school,  never  left  her  room,  and  was  always  starting  fights  when  she  did.

minki  chews  on  her  lip  as  she  tried  to  think  of  which  option  to  go  with.  while  she  hates  getting  wet  with  new  clothes  on  she  hates  the  dark  more.  “  hope  neither  of  gets  sick  .  ”  minki  starts  reaching  under  the  table  to  take  her  heels  off  and  placces  them  in  her  hand.  she  walks  to  the  door  and  lets  out  a  sigh  before  dashing  out  the  door  and  up  the  side  walk  where  the  car  waits  for  the  both  of  them.
