The doorway turns into a lonely dark hallway and you follow it down to the end where you see a dim light and hear the faint humming of fluorescent. Large panes of glass line one side of the strange room and look out to an inky hollow darkness unlike any nighttime you've ever seen. Why were there no lights on outside? Stepping closer for a better look you press your face against the glass to peer out. There is almost an oppressive heavy weight behind the glass and the glass feels thick and lukewarm. Suddenly, you see something beyond the glass move...something pitch black yet faint as a shadow. The form seemed to float and glide behind the glass, fading in and out of the layers of darkness. As it drew closer you suddenly realize why there were no outside lights. The form floated closer, almost brushing the glass, before gliding away and disappearing into the inky void. Without a second thought you stepped away and hurriedly left the room, pressing forward and away from the large windows.
This morning, the air was cool with the gentle scent of rain all around. I wanted to bottle that scent and breathe it in the rest of my life.
I know its strange but I find chalk so beautiful. The sound of it tapping on a black board, the velvety soft powder it leaves behind, the beautiful lines it creates that eventually fade.
Things I enjoy:
Chalk, the sound of thunder, the smell of old books, antique keys, old buildings with long hallways and vacant rooms to explore, the feel of unfinished ceramic, music boxes, the smell of clay and water, rainfall, the sound of heels clicking on marble.

Please go on a liminal dream pool journey with me.

You open your eyes, your cheek is pressed against the cold tile floor. Slowly, you rise to your feet and take in your surroundings. The smelled chlorine and bleach is overwhelming.
You see an open hallway and step into inky darkness, pushing forward. Faintly you see a blue light in the distance and step into a new room.
You can hear the gentle lapping of water, the air is moist and yet warm. You call out into the large room but no one replies, your voice echoes in vain against the tiled walls. You're the only one here. You proceed forward down another hall.
As you step into the room, you notice the tile here is soaked with water, as if someone had recently been here. Your feet make a wet pitter patter as you walk along the side of the pool. You proceed up a flight of stairs that curve around the corner into an inky stairwell.
When you get to the top, a pool lays directly in front of you. There's no choice but to step into the water. Its strangely warm and pleasant. You try to peer through the windows that run along the pool wall but you can't make anything out, its only pitch. The pool goes on for quite awhile, turning around corners.
Finally you come to a new area.
You're finally able to get out of the pool. The air feels cooler here, there's a draft coming from the open doorway. Is there a way out through there?
A large cavernous room lies before you, the perimeter of the room is shrouded in darkness, you suddenly feel you're being watched. The air is still here, but up ahead you see a wide open doorway. Is that the exi-

I hope you enjoyed our adventure.
I went to a dying mall in my area and took these photos.
