Are They Gay: Kirk and Spock

Analyzing Kirk and Spock’s relationship.

Title: Knight Rider/Star Trek: Jim and Kitt 1.0 Fandom: Star Trek (TOS) Tagline: Star Trek/Knight Rider AU. James Kirk and Spock in the Knight Rider world. About the manip: Ok, now, first: if you don’t know what Knight Rider is about, then I’d suggest ask Wikipedia and educate yourself because you’re truly missing a jewel (if you’re  born in the 80’s you just cannot not know this tv show). Done? Ok, fine. For the lazy of you: Michael (David Hasselhoff) and his partner K.I.T.T, a futuristic computer built into a supercar, hit the streets to fight crime. KITT is a computer with a personality, and during the series he and Michael become each other’s best friend; when KITT is almost destroyed, Michael spends the whole episode anguishing over his friend’s destiny, while KITT freaks out whenever Michael gets hurt. It isn’t really hard to slash them (obviously in a very asexual kind of slash). But, back to the whole manip: watching them interact you get a very strong Kirk/Spock vibe: their chatting, the way Michael teases KITT and the way KITT teases back it’s glorious. KITT is very emotional and sensitive, likes jokes and languages. All the characters know he’s more than a bunch of wires. Also, Michael always get the lady-of-the-episode but he always get back to KITT. :D So, I toyed with the idea of a Spock computer/car with Jim be his driver: together they are a kickass duo as much as they are on the Enterprise. Notes: If you didn’t know, KITT has a red light scanner on his nose: I obviously changed it to blue to reflect Spock’s division. As a black person, I say that you don’t need to apologize.

You should not be held accountable for what your ancestors did. They did bad things to people, but you didn’t. You also shouldn’t feel as though you aren’t allowed to have problems. Just because society leans toward favouring white people, doesn’t mean your life is perfect and stress free.

You don’t need to feel bad for being born the race you are. No one should.

I am so heartbroken. I learned during my third period of school that Leonard Nimoy had passed away, and tried to hold back tears. I always found solace in his work, and he may have not survived this life, but his work survives in me and millions of other fans around the world.

While there's plenty of ships that people read too much into, I'm gonna say that Kirk and Spock isn't one. I've watched the Star Trek films and all of my friends and family can point out the parts where they went, "that was kind of gay".

No we're not talking about when they touch each others shoulders, but things like when Spock tells Kirk, "I have been and always shall be yours," I gotta say, that's pretty homoerotic. God damn it, Time magazine even said it was homoerotic in their "Best Couples" issue.

  They're not even trying.
